Default How much weight have you lost and how many dress sizes have you dropped so far?

Of course sizing varies significantly from store to store, but in general, how much weight have you lost so far and how many dress sizes have you dropped? Is it about 10-15 lbs per dress size, or less/more? I've lost 45-50 lbs so far and I've dropped 5 dress sizes. I think I've lost more like 4 dress sizes though, because I try to buy tighter clothes now (so I can still wear them a few months from now!) and I used to buy looser clothing when I was bigger because I thought I could hide more in them.

What about you?

Well, I'm pear-shaped and, thus, very bottom heavy. My pants used to be tight on me at a size 18 and I was heading toward 20, but didn't quite get there just because I didn't get around to it. I have lost 43 lbs. and am now a tight 14. It's not so tight that I can't walk around or sit, but it's definitely going to get better when I lose a few more lbs.!

I've lost about 22lbs so far, at my highest weight, I was wearing 10's and some petite 12lbs. Now I'm at an 8, and quickly closing on a size 6, so 25lbs of weight loss = approximately two, almost three sizes dropped. That's a typical number of sizes down for someone who has an original goal of about 35lbs to lose, I believe.

I've lost 63 lbs. I was in a 22 and now wear a 14, sometimes a 12. So, I say about 4.5 sizes.

I've lost 50lbs and was a Gap size 14 at my high weight, now I'm a Gap size 6 or 8 depending on the style/cut. So, about 4 dress sizes.

From 135 to 115, I've dropped from 6/8P to 4/4P (sometimes regular 2). My ultimate goal is to fit into my old size XS/2 wardrobe without fear of muffin top, and I'm looking to lose another 10 lbs for that. You can definitely expect to fit better in your 'fat' clothes, then worse in them (), then buy new awesome smaller garb! I have to say, shopping is MUCH more fun now than it was before.

I've lost a bit over 100lbs and went from a tight 24W to currently a 14/16, for me it's been about 15-20 lbs per size, although as the sizes get smaller it takes less to go down.

I've lost 50 lbs and i started at a size 18 pant and am now a size 12. I don't know about dress sizes because when I was at my largest, I didn't wear dresses. I did just get a bridesmaids dress in a size 12 (which is now a little big) and when I was close to my starting weight I was in a wedding and had a size 16 dress...so i guess 4 sizes? Regardless, i feel much better. I did think after all this weight though I'd be down to at least a 10. Oh well.

I've lost about 55 lbs now...at my high weight I was in a 20 but not able to breath...so I SHOULD have been in a 22...

Now I'm just starting to fit into 14s...my 16s are falling off and the 14s are still a bit tight, but I like wearing them because it feels good to be a size I haven't been since like middle school...

=D

OH, and I was in a XXL top and now I'm fitting all of my XLs except for a couple that I know have shrunk, and even some Large...YAY for no X in the front!

Lost 10lbs since summer and I have dropped from a size 6 to a size 4. It takes me 7-10lbs to see a difference in clothes.

I've lost 10 pounds, and Ive gone from a comfortable 16 to a tight-ish 14, lol. But I only have 1 pair of 16's (i refused to buy more), and probably 4 pairs of 14's, so I'm very motivated right now!!!

Remember that your bone structure can affect your size too. i.e. broad shoulders/hips vs narrow shoulders/hips. If you have a narrow build, you may have a bigger size change and vice versa and the end goal may be completely different.

When I started I could barely breathe in my size 18 jeans. So probably actually a size 20. I've lost over 60lbs and I can fit into my very very very tight old pair of 14's. I can wear them, but I have to wear a body shaper underneath to combat the muffin top! Yet, at the same time... I bought a couple of pairs of cheap, though nice, pairs of pants at size 16 and they're already loose on me. *headdesk* Gotta love being in between sizes. NOT.

Like April said though.. I have a huge bone structure, and small stature, so it makes for buying clothes interesting!
