Kurri--Sounds good to me!! I'm getting so sick of seeing the same darn numbers on the scale every week!! I'm wanting to lose my last 25lbs before my best friend's wedding!! Hers is May 15th, but I'd like to hit goal by the end of March/early April so my body will be adjusted and what-not before our final dress fitting! So that is gonna average out to be about 1.5-2lbs per week for me too....I NEED to kick this into high gear!!
Meg--CONGRATULATIONS!!! :carrot::carrot::carrot: That is SO great!! Not JUST that you made goal, but that you are happy and feel good enough about yourself that you don't let the number on the scale determine where you need & want to be!! Again, congratulations! You have done a wonderful job--such an inspiration!! |
Amba, I LOVE your new picture. It's adorable!!!

Back down to the 159-159 range today! Oh, and I found out something ridiculous... I went to the doctor today and it turns out I'm an inch and a half taller than I thought! Haha! So I am not quite AS far away from healthy as I thought. =]

Kurri--Thanks!! Hubby and I on New Years Eve! :D

I hope to be joining you in the next 2 months!! |
Of course. I plan to write it up soon. But now that I'm actually on the spot I haven't quite organized my thoughts and figured out exactly what I want to say yet. @_@ But soon! And once I wash my hair... goal pictures! I'm raiding Salvation Army tomorrow; who knows what kinds of cute clothes I might find for my goal photo! :D

Meg, I somehow missed your post! Congrats! I can't wait to be there!

I'm feeling really confident I'm going to get a loss this week. I weighed 160.2 on my last official weigh day. TOM started that day and I was really bloated and feeling gross. Yesterday I saw 159.4...and I had already had breakfast and drank some coffee...and TOM hasn't left yet. So I really think that by Friday (I'm changing my official weigh-day from Sundays to Fridays) TOM will be gone and I will finally see a *real* number under 159! Fingers crossed--I've been stuck here for a month!!! |
Amber, what color are the dresses for your friend's wedding going to be? My cousin got married in May and they wore light blue. I'm having such a hard time trying to decide what color I'm going to get for my cousin's wedding. March weather can be really all over the place. One year we had a BBQ on St. Patrick's Day and another year we had a blizzard!!!

I didn't gain a pound and I didn't lose a pound. Another week at pretty much the exact same weight 155. I'm starting to feel like I'm in the 160s again!!
I should probably feel bad about not losing again but I actually feel pretty good about myself. I have been really horrible about exercising and drinking my water since the beginning of December but this week I'm so focused on it. I just want to lose these last 20 pounds and be able to maintain for...well, forever. Today I went to Walmart with my sisters, our friend and her son (who we babysit for). When I was taking him out of the cart I realized he weighs the exact amount of weight that I lost-- 37 pounds. I held him for all of two minutes and then I was huffing and puffing and it put a smile on my face knowing my body was no longer used to carrying around those extra pounds. I remember the days that a flight of stairs would knock the breath out of me and today (sore muscles and all) I walked up and down the stairs 4 times (I kept forgetting what I was doing!) and didn't lose my breath once! Hello to all the new girls!! Hope your stay here is short and sweet! If not, you can join me as one of the residents!   |
Kurri--We are alternating blue and tangerine...I'm wearing blue (THANK GOD! lol). Ours are going to be tricky to pick out...she's having an outdoor wedding and even in May you never know what the weather is going to do. Also, I had the same realization not too long ago--my youngest son Levi weighs about 23lbs--I've lost more than he weighs! I was telling my hubby I wish I could put the weight back on for a minute just to be able to feel the difference. Levi is heavy to carry around--its weird to think I was carrying that much weight on my body!! And I still have that much more to lose!

The girls in my cousin's wedding are wearing black with teal sashes. The flower girls are wearing teal with black sashes. I was thinking of wearing a seafoam color but it may be too similar. I was talking to one of my cousin's who is in the wedding and we thought that maybe a plum color will work well. It's hard because not only do I not want to stand out (not very outgoing ) but my skin doesn't look nice in many colors. I guess I'll have to face all the decisions when it gets a little closer.

Ugh ugh ugh, I'm back at 160 after doing REALLY well for two weeks, eating only good foods and really pushing myself with exercise. It's discouraging!
So question: How are you guys losing weight so quickly? I'm 5'11, and I've heard it's hardest to lose that last 10 pounds. Do you think that's it? I know my body *wants* to be at 160, because even when I overeat for a few days it stays right around there. But I lose soooo slooooowly - if I follow my water/exercise/calorie goals perfectly I'm still only losing an ounce a week! I'm walking/running for an hour everyday and eating around 1500 calories. What are you guys doing to shed the pounds more quickly? Thanks for any info! :-) |
