Wow Sun that must be pretty tough. We all have unique reasons for gaining the weight and even more unique reasons for wanting to lose it. I'm glad you made it to us in the 150s!!

I'm curious girls... For those of you who count calories, how much are you eating now at this weight and still losing? (Subtracting any calories burned from exercise?)

Wild Vulpix I try to keep it around 1500 but I do workout hardcore. So I now find myself at the wrong end of the 150's LOL Ready to bring it lower this month! Hope you all are doing great :) |

Kurri--YAY! for getting a date to the wedding!! :D I weighed in at 154.2 this past week. Inching closer! Just wish I could inch a little faster lol I was horrible yesterday. Not only did I not workout, I also ate a couple Vday cookies and about 4 Vday chocolates. And chili for lunch...with saltine crackers. And I didn't count my calories. Estimating, I would say I definitely didn't have a deficit yesterday. I hate when I do that!! But oh well..I'm back on track today! Vulpix--On days that I work out, I try to hit around 1400-1500 calories. If I don't work out I try to hit between 1200-1300. |
Sounds like everyone is doing well :) Amba Dawn, I feel you. I'm tired of inching, lol. Slowly but surely, I suppose.
I weigh in tomorrow, and I'm kind of nervous. I was definitely NOT on plan this weekend. Jager shots do not fit into my meal plan, last time I checked, haha. I'm ready to get out of the 150's though. I thought I'd stay here for longer, but I am SO ready to be in the 140's. 140's = beginning of maintenance! |
Amber, we're definitely getting there nice and slow. LOL! My mom always says my dad's family has two speeds: slow and stop. I guess it's just in my genes. Lately I have been feeling full longer than ever before. All weekend I kept thinking I ate too much and then I'd look back and I was perfectly fine. I haven't exercised though... like at all. I had the entire week off and besides the couple days of playing in the snow, I didn't do anything. I hope I get over the lazy spell ASAP!
As for calories, I read somewhere (back when I started limiting myself) that you should eat the weight you want to be times 10. For every decade I go down, so do my calories (ie when I wanted to be 180, I was eating 1800 calories, 170/1700 etc etc). On days I workout I don't count my calories, I just let my body decide what and when to eat. |
Meh...152.6. That's .6lbs down from last week. I guess I can't complain TOO much, at least it was still a loss, and after some Jager bombs and Valentines Day treats? I like to get 1+lb losses every week, but oh well. I'm probably slowing down as I get smaller.

Right after I weighed earlier, I....used the ladies room, weighed again, and I'm now 152.1. Half a pound down in 20 minutes, haha, yay fiber! |
LOL mkendrick!! :lol: That's hilarious!! I always try to hold off on eating/drinking anything and wait until I "go" before I weigh myself! I want the least amount of extra weight in me possible hahaha! Annnnywaaays...Congrats!! :D
Kurri--Although it's been slow, we're getting pretty close!! I'm starting to eyeball that 140s thread! I gotta admit that a teeny tiny part of me is dreading moving to a new decade and being at the high end again....I keep having flashbacks of being stuck at 159 for over a month!!! lol But all in all I'm excited! I'm hoping to be out of here in the next few weeks. *FINGERS CROSSED* As far as myself, I haven't weighed again this week. I used to weigh everyday, but I got so sick of the daily fluctuations I try to stick to just 1-2 times a week now. But besides that I was talking to my husband last night and we have plans! He's been working in Virginia (we live in Ohio) for the past 6 months, so he's only home on the weekends. But he should be back to working around home *hopefully* this week!! We decided we're going to get gym memberships when he gets home...we're gonna start working out together at the gym, but also get back into playing sports. We were both very athletic in high school..I played volleyball, basketball, and ran track...he played football, basketball, baseball, and ran track. But we haven't done CRAP since we got married (mainly due to his deployment), but especially since we had kids. But we wanna get back into it though. We're gonna start coaching little league sports teams too. He's gonna coach our son's soccer team this spring (and maybe fall too if Evan likes it)...then we're both gonna coach youth basketball in the fall/winter. He'd like to work his way up and maybe coach high school teams one day. It's gonna be so much fun...and we can stay active!! We've been couch potatoes for too many years! |
hey ladies I'd like to join this thread, back in november I finally made it down to 150.4, with the holidays and a new bf who loves his junk and all that I actually ended up at 165. Today after what seemed like FORVER I finally made it back to the 150's !!! 158.4 : )

I was 155.6 this morning! Two pounds up! I wasn't great this weekend because it was Valentine's day (my boyfriend cooked an amazing but non-diet-friendly meal of chicken and cider pie and yuuuumy chocolate mousse!) but I am positive I didn't put on two pounds. Yesterday I was over my sodium because I had a sub from Subway but even though I know I'm retaining water it's depressing me! I'm going to weigh again tomorrow and see if there's a difference. I've been between 150-155 for two years. I just CAN'T shift it and it's beginning to get me down :( I hate being negative about weight loss but it just seems like my body is comfortable here and doesn't want to move. I have lowered my calories by about 100/day so I'm going to see if that works. :D Hopefully next week I can have some good news to share! Hang in there guys! Seeing you all losing is such an inspiration to the snails like me, even if your losses are slow - they're still losses! You're moving in the right direction! :) |
mkendrick I totally wait until I finish going to the bathroom to way! I don't need that extra weight :)
KurLEQ I am glad you were feeling so full on your calories. Its so hard sometimes and I end up just sitting around thinking of food. Amba Dawn WOW! Sounds like you are ready to get fit in a big way! With all that activity you will have toned up sooo nicely :) Sports are definetly not my strong point :( Well I am still doing the P90X workouts and its really showing some differences in my body and weight :) I am so looking forward to getting lower so I can get close to the 140's I just hope I don't look like the blob at my sister's wedding. Even though everyone here is saying how skinny I look at home they seen me before I got Pregnant and while I was pregnant..they didn't see me At my highest afterwards and so it won't really be anything to them and I want so badly to look good! Anyhoo sorry for the lengthly spout just needed to get it out. |

Aww, Wild Vulpix, thanks so much! I don't think I've been doing anything special, I hardly ever exercise (hence, skinny fat), but I'm starting to lift weights. I don't count calories, but I kind of keep track of them in my head. I stay around 1300 and 1500/day, I'd estimate. And I allow myself cheats throughout the week, I'm usually pretty lax on weekends.

Ahh I need a kick in the butt! School's been so hectic that I eat lunch at odd times which makes my eating habits BAD! I end up eating something bad...and then more of that bad stuff, and then nibbling on something else, and then FINALLY slapping the back of my hand for doing that.
I'm stuck at 156...i MUST get on track! doesn't help that my left achilles tendon has been very tense for the past 2 days so I haven't been able to run. I didn't hurt at all today so I ran 1.5 miles until I felt a little tense and had to stop. I usually run 2 miles a day. BLAH. |
