P.S. Sorry for the typos, I'm writing on my cell phone while sitting in class

I forgot to say that since I've been maintaining for 2 months now (yay!) I've set fitness goals instead of weightloss goals, which has been awesome and so rewarding. So my goal for September is to keep focusing on my running and train my butt off for my 10k and half marathon and keep getting stronger!

Mk - You do look amazing!! Never hurts to hear it again right?

The weekend is almost here! Do any of you have plans?

On the weight front, I've noticed something weird. I'm now the thinnest Ive been as an adult, but I've become more critical of my body than ever. I look in the mirror and still see a chubby girl, and keep telling myself that I will look better in 5 lbs- 10 lbs or even 15 lbs depending on the time of the day. Has this happened to any one else? Is there anyway to stop these crazy thoughts?

Natalie - Thanks for the bday wishes! I know EXACTLY what you mean about being the thinnest you've ever been as an adult (I'm at the same point) and still feeling fat. It's so funny, when I'm at the higher end of my maintenance range, I feel like crap, and when I'm back in the middle (like I am now) or at the low end, I feel awesome...even though the difference is 1 or 2 pounds!!! It really is your mind playing tricks on you and you have to force your logical self to take over and remember how much weight you've lost and how great you KNOW you look! Also, think about it this way: if I told you I had this friend who was 5'4" and weighed 133 pounds, ate healthy and worked out, what would you think? You'd think, wow, I bet she's super healthy and looks awesome! It's so much harder to think about it that way when it's about YOU, but it's the truth!

As for weekend plans, I have an exam tomorrow morning (first one of the year!) and then I'm going out with friends to celebrate my bday, so it should be a fun night! Hoping not to overindulge on the alcohol so I'll report back and let you all know how it goes. Now that I'm back to my comfortable weight of 137.4 instead of 138.8 (small difference but like I said, it drives me crazy!), I can't get back up there again so I'm gonna be careful!

Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm on the very cusp of leaving the 130's, but for some reason my weight's going all over the place lately! I dipped to 129 last month, jumped up to 134 after a bad bout (lost my second job...panic...you know the rest).

I lowered my calories again last week, and got on the treadmill on Tuesday. My weight this week has been everything from 130 (after suspected dehydration) to 133 (the morning after a salty dinner). Unfortunately, my trek to the 120s is going to be very slow, because I've found that even eating all the "right" things I can't go below 1800 without lying awake starving at night. I may have reached my set point

139.8 this morning - YEAY!!!

I'm going to wait until I'm more comfortably in the 130s before I leave the 140s thread, though. I just wanted to say hi to you guys!

StringBean Congrats and Welcome!! Woo!

tkm256 , I can totally understand what you are saying about the road to the 120's being slooooow. I think its a mix of having so little left to lose, and also your body getting used to its new size. When I was in my 160's I could lose 4 lbs easily in a week, and the scale always seemed to be going down down down. Now the scale seems to yo yo drastically, all depending on what kind of food I ate -( oh salty food you are the death of me! )

We just need to remember slow and steady wins the race, right?

139.2 this morning. I think I will now join your thread as then I'll have no excuse to bounce back into the 140s. Thanks for the welcome, hiimnatalie, and looking forward to getting to know you guys

Hope all you girls had a great labor day long weekend!

Thats awesome work StringBean!
Today I start my uni classes for the term! I'm so excited. Its going to be an intersting term, as I am taking three 2nd year classes and also working 30 hours a week! My only day off is Sunday, yikes.

on the weight front , I am now the smallest I have been since I was 13. I can't believe that I'm so close to actually being in the 120's. I never thought that day would come.

Hi! I clocked in at 139.6 this morning, and figured I'd join the thread, even though I don't think I'll be leaving the 130s. My goal is to get to 132ish and then maintain (I can't bring myself to change my goal in my ticker, though).

It's good to be here!

Way to go Ruby!! I love how more people are joining this thread, you are all rock stars! I looked at your progress photos and you look amazing!

No worries about getting out of the 130's, this is also a thread for maintaining too!

Hey, it's been a while since I've posted.

I ate some crazy stuff over the weekend and didn't really exercise, and I thought I had gained a bunch (was back up to 135.6 on Tuesday) but now I've plummeted back down... I was 131.4 this morning! The lowest I've seen in the past 3 years or so... and so close to being out of the 130s.

I've decided that I'm really going to work my butt off to get to goal by the end of the year. If I don't make it, I won't let it upset me too much, but that's my (very ambitious) goal.

If I lose just 1% of my body weight each week, I'll reach goal by the middle of December, just in time for all those holiday parties. That makes it sound fairly reasonable!

138 this morning...woohoo...I was not expecting to be down another pound so soon, but I'll take it! Hi Ruby! Hiimnatalie: I am the thinnest and fittest I've been in about 10 years and all of a sudden I feel my stomach and thighs are disgusting and fat. What is wrong with us?? I just want to be happy with my body, and I'm not sure I will ever be. Guess that's just human nature!
