  • Great job, guys! I officially weigh in tomorrow, but I've been peeking at the scale daily now now that I can mentally handle daily weigh-ins (I don't care about being up a few pounds as long as I'm still in the 160's!!!!!!!) and I do seem to have gone down about 2.5 pounds over the last 2 weeks... not sure though... I weigh in tomorrow and my period will start any day now, which I know can throw the numbers off... *shrugs*
AKT: That's kind of what I was thinking of. My body seems really happy at 165 and I'm happy here too, so after this point I'm kind of going to let it take the reins and not worry too much about exactly getting to some certain goal weight. It's also much less stressful, don't you think?
  • Hey all!

    Just found this thread.

I am 26 and more or less 169-168. I'm just starting at 170 with my tickers and what not though.

But I want to get back out of the 160's!! That's my first goal!!

    Meg
  • way to go ladies!!

today I weighed in at 165.6!
  • I wieghed in at 158.4 today.. maintained in 150s for 5 days! So officially i am out of 160s.. see you all soon in 150s!
  • 166. *shrugs* I'd been 163 for days, so I think I DO bloat on my period, just BEFORE I have it. During it, even the first day, my weight wasn't up at all. But now I'm up like 3 pounds even maybe... ah well, fair is fair. I can ONLY record my weight every 2 weeks officially so I'll have to wait until 2 weeks from now and see what it says then. ^_^
  • congrats hartav, we'll see you in 150s soon!!
  • hey girls, i am back in the 160's... i was at 158 for a while but i had a breast augmentation about 3.5 weeks ago and with the weight of the implants combined with not being able to work out, i have gained some lbs... so i am up to 165this morning and i can't bare to change my ticker yet, but i would like to join back in with this chat and get back to the 150's asap!

Don't feel too bad! You shouldn't feel guilty for letting your body heal!
  • I am so glad I found this page!

I just started my job working in an underground mine in may... since then I have managed to drop down from 186 to 168... I am back at school now and I feel the pounds are starting to creep up again... [sigh]... So now I am going to the gym and taking yoga classes in an attempt to get out of these 160's

    Gotta love group support!

very much so. I feel a lot more free. and if I look okay at my weight i can only imagine with 2 inches more! Girl i bet youre looking good!
  • I have had a really bad tooth infection so I've been on tylenol 3 and have only gone to the gym 2x last week because i was about to pass out there when I did lol. I haven't gone over calories though so I should be good.
  • Well, I broke my foot, so all exercise has stopped for the time being. :-P I'm back up at 166. It's easy to be depressed about not being able to exercise like I was doing, but fortunately it's not a *bad* break so should heal quickly? I'm just going to have to be more careful with what I eat during this time.

For a month now (since I started this) I've been going back and forth between 162 and 169, and have learned ALOT along the way. Some things:
-I'm eating way too late at night while watching TV, so my body is not burning those calories
-Certain foods don't digest for me and pack on the pounds: wheat, dairy, and beans
-I was eating all carbs, no protein
-I have a high ratio of fat to muscle, so I'm burning less calories than what I actually thought
-Now I'm 25, my more adult body WANTS to be at 165. It keeps shooting back up there. So I'm going to have to be very disciplined to lose this weight - it's not going to come off after a few days of exercising like it used to.

I'm feeling a newfound energy regarding my weight loss goals!
  • Quote: Well, I broke my foot,
Oww owww oww oww! <my sympathies>

How long are you out for? On the bright side, it's quite easy to lose weight without exercising, but it's also too easy to snack when you're laid up.

Anyway, I'm at 167.0 today. It's been a slow slow 0.1/day loss this past week, so I *think* the body should let me break into the 166s tomorrow or Friday. <crosses fingers>
  • hey everyone!! i am new to this. i way 165 and my goal is 140. but for short term i would love to see 150's on the scale. need serious motivation. i always seem to over do it at first and just get burned out on it and i fall off the wagon. hopefully this site can help me stay motivated.
  • Quick question - I'm new to the site, but I've seen a couple of posts in this thread that I can relate to. I'm 22, started at 185 about a month ago, now I'm at 168/166. My problem is I can't see a difference. Anybody else have this problem - Any tips on solving it? Thanks
