I hardly drink pop [sorry, gotta be Canadian here, haha] anymore. I have a Diet Pepsi on a blue moon, right before work on a night shift so I have the quick caffeine fix to keep me awake - if I'm being too lazy to make tea or coffee.

I'm a diet pop drinker too and when I cut back, I didn't find it too difficult. I grabbed other choices like juice, water, or tea to hold me back. I do have one every so often when I'm craving Ice Tea of something.

Dt. Coke was my thing! I gave it up for Lent. It was super hard at first but the cravings ceased after a little while. I have only drank 2 since Lent ended. I used to drink 3-4 cans a day and that doesn't include the large dt coke from Chic Fil A that I thought I had to have at work each day!

I gave up soda (or coke, as they're all called in Texas), a few years ago, before I even thought about losing weight. Turns out I have really weak enamel on my teeth, and my 40+ ounce of Dr Pepper a day diet was tearing them up even faster. So I stopped cold turkey. I very rarely have a sip of a soft drink these days...

I cut regular soda out a few years ago, over the past few months I cut the diet out. It's really more for my weak teeth than dieting purposes. I enjoy my water quite a bit anyway!

I like soda. I drink soda. I usually have one or two cans a week. I guess since I never drank it growing up, I don't have any special connections to it.

I gave up diet coke the same day I gave up smoking (Jan 1st) because diet coke was not only a trigger for me to smoke it was a trigger for me to crave salty food.

You can do it! It had almost been 4 months for me and I just placed it with water on top of my regular coffee, tea and fat free milk.

I crave soda in random spurts. So, it's never been difficult to stop drinking it. I've just restarted my weight loss and will not drink soda until further notice. Drinking water, tea, and seltzer are great alternatives. I usually carry my water bottle everywhere. This helps me avoid the 'need' for soda.
