Hi girlies.
I suppose I shall do my little introduction post. I'm in first year in college. My first year living away from home and I like the freedom a lot! I like being able to choose the food I eat carefully. It's working well for me. I have trying to lose weight since I was 8. I wasn't a fat child I was just chubby then when I was 11 or 12 (thanks to PCOS) I shot up to obese within 6 months. I became a really depressed teenager and have really really struggled to lose the weight since. So now I more determined then ever with my 21st next year I want to look and feel great.
I'm Supposed to be following weight watchers but right now I'm not on a specific plan. I will soon I'm just exhausted at the moment. I have been picking up on exercise the last couple days. I've been going for walks more.

Day 2 isn't going fantastic. I am trying to quit smoking. I haven't had a cigarette in 2 days. Until 2 days ago I hadn't gone a day in over 18 months without cigarettes. I'm struggling today. Yesterday was fine but today I've been battling myself for most of the day. I'm fighting not having a cigarette like crazy. I've been eating a good bit today. Trying to fill the hole I guess.
I'm a little frustrated....

Angeline thanks for the encouraging words. I did make it to the gym and it wasn't as bad as i was dreading it. I did 60 minutes on the eliptical.

Maddie Welcome to the team. Congratulations on day 2 of being a non-smoker!!!!

Ebonie, Have you tried the sugar free/fat free version? It's wonderful! I have one on Sundays as a weekend treat (not calorie wise, they are just too spendy -$4.75 for a Venti) my son gets a kids cocoa and we read the paper together. Sorry, you just brought on a bit of a craving, I always tend to binge after a successful weigh in too. I guess we're just in the habit of self sabotage, but habits can change. You can do it.

I have come down with terrible cold, my son has bronchitis, and the BF has a sinus infection, not slacking diet wise but so far I've skipped yoga. I'm worried about next week's weigh in already. I've got Pilates after work tomorrow, and hopefully I'll get a half hour in during lunch, was gonna go for weight training but- maybe something like the bike? or my standby elliptical.

I feel lethargic and sick, I'm going to bed. Night all. Good luck with tomorrow.

Ebonie - way to get back on track right away!

Maddie - it sounds like you're putting in a lot of effort to get healthy! Quitting smoking is probably the single best thing you can do for your health, so make sure to pat yourself on the back and forgive yourself for any food-related slip ups. You're doing great!

Scandalous - Hope you and your family feel better soon!

So I guess it is about time for me to finally introduce myself! My name is Stephanie, I am 22, and live in Washington state. I just got married on Nov 1, 2008. I have been over weight for the past 12 years of my life. (Ever since my parents got divorced and I became an emotional eater.) I have been on countless number of diets that worked while I was doing them, but I gained it all back plus some everytime as soon as I got off of them. So now I am giving nutrisystem a try and hopefully it will work. I am a nanny to two wonderful kids, so it makes it really hard to stick with the diet because I see the oldest eating all of the foods that I loved when I was a kid. But I stick to my guns and don't give in to the cravings. Well that is just about all I can think of right now, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Hi Bananas, A short introduction (at least I will try and keep it short). I am 29, and recently married. I was always a chubby kid, and then a fairly slim teenager although of course I thought I was fat! When I started working in the UK I started piling on the weight by snacking, eating high fat foods, drinking beer and doing no exercise. I lost a lot of it when I came to Costa Rica, then when I started a company I piled it on again.
The shock came when I visited my family after a couple years and the first thing they did was look at my body in slight shock, and the dress my mum bought me for Christmas was way too small. I went to buy jeans and the only ones I could choose from were from the “plus size” rack. I weighed myself and found myself to be obese. Last year I started getting healthy, I started exercising and good eating followed. I got engaged and this gave me more motivation to keep up the good work. I went from not being able to run for 90 secs without my heart exploding to running for 1.5 hours (with some walk breaks). I felt great and looked better than I had in a long time. After the wedding it all went downhill and I gained back about a Stone (14lbs). I am now ready to get going again and hopefully get rid of those 14 lbs during this challenge!

Nice to meet you dubh! How's everyone doing so far?

I have such a chocolate craving... my Monday weigh-in will prolly be up because of TOM. On the other hand, I'm gonna go sign up for a triathlon training clinic this weekend! I'm SOOOO excited, and I think fitness goals will help motivate me a lot. Wish me luck!

motiv8me I totally get the sweets thing- that's always going to be my downfall when I have one- that and garlic cheese bread

I stayed OP ALL day yesterday- I stayed under my calories- had less that 20% Fat and worked out- 4.1miles in 45mins I'm going to try to increase my numbers to 4.25 miles in 45 mins today

I know Team Banana will come out the winner at this week's weigh in!

GO BANANAS-
B-A-N-A-N-A-S

Eeek...I have not been doing so well. I went way over my calories on Wednesday and went up two pounds. I stayed strictly OP yesterday, when under to compensate, and worked out for 1.5 hours, and went up another pound. I'm really trying not to get down on myself, but I was doing so well!! Its the first major slip up I've had since starting lose so I suppose I'm learning a valuable lesson...
Hope you guys stay strong this weekend! Any plans?? For me, just homework and the usual college parties. And as usual, lots of sleeping.

Have you just started a workout plan. After I lost my first 5 pounds, I gained three. You might be gaining a little muscle, which is great!! Just keep doing what your doing and you'll be fine!
