  • I've never had a serious mini-goal before, or maybe I just have never achieved one before but I have one now:

To lose 11 lbs by 4/4.

I know in many people's eyes that would be very realistic and reasonable.. but I've been on 3FC for 5 month now.. and only lost 10 lbs since then. If I lose 11 lbs by 4/4, I will have lost 10% of my body weight during the duration of the Biggest Loser Challenge. It was my original goal but I guess I just picked a number and didn't take it too seriously. But there's so many reasons I want to reach this goal and to do it now:

    1. I'll have reached my TBL goal of losing 10% during the competition
    2. It's half-way to goal--29 lbs lost.
    3. Almost 17% of total body weight lost
    4. My boyfriend has never seen me below 148 lbs
    5. It will be SPRINGTIME
    6. I haven't weighed that much since 2003
    7. I'll be closer to the healthy BMI range than the obese range.
    8. I've got a bunch of size small tops and sz 12 bottoms waiting for me

So I'm going to do it! I'm going the quit the excuses, the laziness, the satisfaction with losing 1-2 lbs a month. I'm going to track calories, skip alcohol & fast food, minimize sweets, exercise more.

Haha, so it's out there! In order to not eat crow, I gotta do it!

Anyone else have a mini-goal to declare?
  • good luck!
  • 168 for spring break! It's kind of a pipe dream but what the ****, right?
  • My mini goal is to get to 154.4 (normal BMI) by St. Patrick's Day.
  • I want to lose 20 pounds. My bf went out and got my the jullian Michaels 30 day shred, so I plan to use that.

Good luck with you. I just hope I stick to my diet.
    =]
  • I stopped putting deadlines for my mini goals! lol
  • My first goal was to lost 13lbs (reach 15st) in 4 weeks and I did it in 3!
My next one is to lose 21lbs by Easter, and I will have a healthy BMI too when I achieve it.
  • My goal is to just get back on plan! I have been off since December, really, and it's just gross!

So, my first mini-goal: Be on plan for one week, starting today. After that one week I will have my first damage-control weigh-in and can set my new poundage goal.
  • My new mini goal is to start exercising and stick with it. Also I would like to lose another 10lbs by Easter.
  • Fitting back into my 'skinny' jeans/wardrobe. I have this entire area of my closet FULL of clothes, they fit, but not well, you know? Like I have at least 3 to 4 pairs of jeans from my smaller days that I am able to get on but they look terrible and cause a major muffin top. I need to lose about an inch all around to be able to wear these clothes again, that's my mini goal! By summer I would say. I am making progress though!
  • I want to weigh 180 by July. I am going to visit my mother and sister in Florida and last year (in August) I went down there weighing 246lbs. It will be a good change and I know they'll really notice the difference. Maybe I can get to the beach and feel good about myself for once!
  • I would LOVE to hit 130 by St. Patrick's day. It's not a mini goal at all, it is my GOOOOOAAAALLLL. But I'm so close and when I get there I'm getting my big reward.

I'm wishing you guys all some serious determination and dedication! (luck has nothing to do with it)
  • Quote: I stopped putting deadlines for my mini goals! lol
I did too for a long time but now I have this renewed dedication and determination to reach THIS weight by THIS date. If I'm successful maybe I'll continue this mini-goal thing.. if not, I guess I'll just go back to focusing one lb at a time.
  • Quote: I stopped putting deadlines for my mini goals! lol
I know what you mean. I still use a date for mine, but it is more like I really wish I'd make it by this time, but I still reward myself for making the mini-goal no matter how long it takes me to get there. For instance, I wanted to get below 160 by Jan 1st, and thought I didn't get there until yesterday, I'm still thrilled!! Now if Amazon would just hurry up and ship my package............
  • I had stopped having dates for my goals for a while... then I realized that I was slacking off. So now, I just make sure that my goals are reasonable and doable and it keeps me on track.
