My actual calves LOOK good in my opinion sexy in heels or shorts with cute sneakers. The only reason I really want 13 or 14 inch calves is wear those sexy boots. Oh well I can thank GOD not giving me chicken legs so maybe I'll just be happy.
My calves were 16" a few mths ago but i just measured them again and now they're 15"! I also bought a pair of boots that zip up 3/4 the length of my calves with a little elastic in them..I'd say they're 14. I was so escatic when I could FINALLY wear them..lol. I think I lost an inch due to the aqua aerobics I began doing 3-4 times a week back in the fall...all those leg exercises!

On a side note, Angel's Dust you are absolutely gorgeous!

Thank you so much!! You really made my day
I don't have an ideal calf size. I don't mind mine right now, but when I get to my goal weight, all I ask is that they are strong and fit into those beautiful boots I'm craving.
20.5" - I think I win. I do have one pair of boots I love; they are cordovan English riding boots that lace up the back and I think I got them from Zappos a million years ago. So if I can find boots at 20.5" all of you certainly can!
i wear knee boots and they are by jessica simpson, nine west, franco sarto, ***g. and mine is measuring at 15.5 - 16" i think u gotta just find the right boot. but i'm tall. my roommate who is shorter had a hard time finding ones to fit her calves but i never have.
I REALLY wanted a gorgeous pair of tan/brown knee-high riding boots and ordered a couple pairs to test out on Piperlime.com (which was great because it was free shipping both ways and super fast! Plus, if you are ordering something off GAP or Old Navy and you add a Piperlime shoe, you get the shipping free)
Anyways, my calves were way too big (18''!) even though I wear a size 10 shoe.
I recently found this website and it looks great for calf sizes--you choose from FIVE calf sizes! It's a UK retailer, but they ship internationally. Unfortunately, I've given up the search for boots since I'm in Los Angeles and winter has already passed.
I have the same problem no matter how much weight i lose my calfs don't get any smaller they just get more toned. Me and my older sister have the same problem while my younger sister has tiny legs. Thank you mom! But heres hoping anyways.
LOL cuz I just saw this thread and this morning as I was rubbing lotion on my legs (wich are starting to less like kankles and more like calves) and wondering if I'll ever get them toned again. Even when lean and fit my legs are still "thick". Looking forward to seeing definition...
QTestRDH, it looks like we may have a comparable frame...... not to burst your hope bubble..... but I have lost 60+ (I am going up and down now..... it is a mental battle right now), and I have been walking on a treadmill 3 hours a day b/c of the muscles my calves are not under a 14 right now..... still no really cute boots!
I have had big calves since I was even around 9 years old...I STILL remember the utter shame and embarassment at a shoe clerk trying so hard to pull a pair of boots on me...I remember my face being so hot and I had to hold off on crying so badly...ugh!! I wanted to earth to swallow me up.
today at 155 my calves are 16 1/4" . I looked up my old charts, and when I was at my lowest weight in 2002 (142) they only got down to 15 1/2".
I did find a pair of patent leather boots, with high heels, that zipped up the side and they were stretchy...so I could get them on!!! AND at a second-hand shop, so they were $2.00. I wish I could wear them everywhere but so far just for my biker-themed parties.
OOPS - I just realized this is the "20-Somethings" realm. sorry ladies
