i am having trouble eating healthy too, since i started counting carbs. I mean, now instead of cutting junk out completely i have little bits within my calorie limits. Its creeping back in, nooOO!

Oh I dont have trouble eating healthy foods! Just controlling how much I eat because I like to constantly be eating. I'm just going to be extra firm this week.

When I see junk I just imagine litres of oil and fat that was used to make it and I think that visualization really helps me never give in to temptation. *shudder*

yeah, in retrospect the lamppost incident is really funny, but that the time I was just mortified! I made it to the gym and back alive today, so all is still well. I keep reminding myself just to suck it up and get back on that bike. why doesn't that work just to suck it up and get back on plan after a binge??

spoz, i am a pretty constant eater, too. especially when I am at home working on something, I just feel like I need to have something to munch on. Usually it is healthy, like yogurt and granola or some raw almonds. but these things add up in calories too! I try to remember to drink LOTS of water because it really does help the appetite control. I think for me it's partly just something to do besides eat while i am reading or writing or doing calculations.

yeah i rreally need to work on the water thing, i was doing well for a while back there, but ive slacked off and i can really feel the difference. I guess those will be my resolutions for this week: no junk food even if it is within my calorie allowance, and more water!

I got myself a new toy so I've been busy with it over the weekend...so I didn't get to get on here. (a blackberry phone. lol)

Let's see...I was in a very very bad mood this weekend other than the fact I got the phone. Friday and Saturday..I had bad cravings...for something I couldn't figure out. I also didn't get to drink much water and on Saturday, I ended up seeing 180's again! So I've been feeling like a pig/cow/elephant/hippo but couldn't figure out what and why I was craving so bad because I don't have craving problem usually. My bf told me it's just water weight and it will go away as long as I stay on track.. I did go to the 60 minute Zumba class on Saturday morning. I meant to work out later in the evening on Saturday and didn't get to. The scale still didn't move. :( I meant to work out today before coming to work but my DD's grandma wanted me to drop her off early so I didn't get to. I'm really going to try to sweat after work, even though it will be 430 in the morning. At least, when I stepped on the scale today, it went back down to 179's.. sigh.

So I come to work and was looking at the calendar...and realized that my TOM is "supposed" to start tomorrow. HAHA! That explains! I am on pills that let me have 4 periods in a year but for some reason, my body still knows when I'm "supposed" to have TOM on its own and decides to go through whatever it wants to.

So I feel a lot better now...and got 3 more weeks to go to lose some more for the next TBL challenge! =)

iriswhispers 08-24-2008 07:50 PM

Tara, I am also on pills where i don't get a period every month, but i definitely feel the effects anyway! (Still get extra tired and hungry and bloaty...) It's aggravating!

taragettingthin 08-24-2008 07:54 PM

I hear ya, Iris! It's so nice to NOT have the pain and carrying "diapers" Just In Case... BUT I wish all that craving and stuff will also go away... since my TOM comes every 20 days. That's craving every 3 weeks! sigh!!!

hey yall...im back to feeling better...just checkin in looks like everyone is doing good keep it up

Iconised Ghost 08-24-2008 11:37 PM

hi all
haha i just looked up "dundee biscuit" on the daily plate, and it suggested one thing: a deluxe chicken sandwich without mayo :dizzy: thanks daily plate, thats exactly what i meant

Well, today i am down 300g. Its not a lot, but im happy, considering i sort of screwed up my calorie counting last week (counted the number of calories in one serving of things, not realising a pack had 2 servings. Wouldnt be too bad, but we're talking about things like rice here >.< )

And i had a stroke of good luck today! I have 2 contracts at work, and through a series of complications i havent been paid for about a month and a half now. Today i went in and they told me that i had one contract reset, but not the other. I was about to curse them very loudly because that means waiting another 2 weeks after this thursday to get the rest of my pay. But then they said "so we put all your work through on that contract you have reset". Which is BRILLIANT because that contract pays double the other one :D so today i just got a bonus of about $100 after tax ^____^ and to top it off, its sunny and warm and spring like.

Life is good to me :D

Hey Iris and Tara,
I hear ya. I'm on depo provera, which technically eliminates TOM but I still have monthly type issues (fun little hormonal roller coasters my body takes me on). I guess they're programmed that way for a reason.

Great news Iconised! I'm glad to hear about your lucky break!
