Good morning/afternoon!
Today is going pretty well. I got a few more things planted in my garden yesterday. I'm excited about the leeks. I hope they turn out well. It will be fall before I will know. I got my butt off the couch and went walking yeseterday afternoon. It was a very sunny 80 degree day....bleck!! Today it was supposed to rain but it hasn't yet. It's just REALLY muggy.... irish: I love your hair! I'm sure you'll do great on at the audition!! cookie: I haven't been to quiznos in soo long. I'm with erika. If I go out, I don't really want a sandwich. Subway is even a rare occasion. lili: WTC! I had no idea they were that high!! Now I'll REALLY never eat there. LOL remember: yep, thats what I needed too. Went walking yesterday afternoon. I made it 1.5 miles with hills and dd in her stroller. Sure was hot though. I'm going to stick to mornings. I'm going to have to work my way up again because of my knee. It hasn't been too bad since I dropped a few more pounds. taylor: good job on the calorie intake! If there wasn't chocolate here I'd do better. It's almost gone though. yay! I'm sure you did great on your test!! tara: I bet you did better than you think on your final. Mmmm...burgers sound good. When we get paid next week I'm going to definitely be making some. arts: :yay: you've lost 20lbs!!!! thats AWESOME!!!!! |
CookieMonster -- let yourself splurge on your birthday, I say. Now, that doesn't mean eat 3000 calories in one meal, but eat the cake, ya know?? One piece of cake isn't going to kill you, and it'll feel good to celebrate your friends all getting together! Don't beat yourself up about it :-)

I did it!
I went to the gym and did 20 minutes on the bike and 10 minutes on the treadmill and boy do I feel good! :woops: It went by so fast, too. And it was great to have a little personal time and before I knew it I was going 94 RPM. It was even crappy weather here in Denver...snowing and all I wanted to do was snuggle in with a good book! I guess that means I can have a few drinks a the piano bar tonight! WOOT! |
Taylor -- good job on the gym!! I knew you'd be able to do it without going crazy while you were there!! And it is really really nice to get some "me" time, huh??
I just got back from the gym myself....did 30 mins on treadmill like I usually do, and weighed myself. Still at 200, which I suppose is okay since I haven't really had time to work out becuase of rehearsals and everything. I was really really hoping to be in the 100s, but ah well, better than a gain, right?? |
artssmarts - Yay! You worked out too! Rehearsals, eh? I am a theater major....what show are you working on?
And yes, I loved the "me" time....and listening to just my music. I love my boy dearly but Pearl Jam can get a bit weary when you are craving musicals and/or "diiirty booty music" that I would never admit listening to. |

RENT!!
OMG! I love Rent! Such good music to workout to! I listened to "Take me out tonight" when I was jogging and it made me feel so good! Wicked it another one of my favorites...Avenue Q is another one and of course all the class ones like Phantom and Les Mis...those make me cry every time! |
That's my favorite Rent song to listen to when I'm doing cardio!
I'm seeing Wicked in May in Chicago. Sooooo excited! |
Bragging rights: I saw Wicked with the original broadway cast in NY!
|
OK, you win.
|
Taylor and Swimming, If you guys need another theatre junkie I'll join you! I work out to Wicked, Avenue Q and such as well, I feel like Broadway is epic enough to work out to, lol. I'm not even ashamed to admit I watched the episode of The Backyardigans that featured Adam Pascal! I'm such a nerd... :D

Let's see... how did my day go today. I had to watch Amadeus for one of my class..and my daughter decided to wake up from her nap in the middle of the movie so that was no fun. Trying to watch a movie to write a paper on while 2 year old toddler trying to jump on top of you... :P
I went to the gym today since I wasn't able to go to the gym yesterday. I don't know what it is that I did or I'm doing, but today, my muscles are feeling like it's worked on... as if this was first day I worked out. It's not hurting or anything and it's actually feeling good to be able to feel the muscle but weird because I've been going to the gym for about a month now and tomorrow will be my second week of the cardio/strength DVD.. Oh, there is this one shirt I used to like but not anymore since I've started gaining because it made me look so fat around my arms and tummy. I tried it on today just to see and well, I wore it to work. It's not even tight around tummy at all and it doesn't feel tight around the arms, either. I'm so happy =) :D Today is like Friday for me because I work Sun-Thur so my weekend is about to start. Gotta go grocery shopping tomorrow... I already got some list that I want to buy...GREENS GREENS GREENS and FRUITS!!! =) Well, hope all of you are having a good week so far. |
Tara - nice about the shirt fitting, what a good feeling that must have been way to go.
So, anyway I just ordered a bridesmaid dress online for my friends wedding in June. I hope it fits, I took my measurements and got the size that went along with it so it should. but then I am in a another wedding at the end of July and I was fitted for that dress months ago and lost weight since then and don't plan on stopping. I am worried that the dress will not fit right. I know I can get altered, so I just might have to do that and wait until a month before the wedding so its acurate. |
Sassy~ I'm dealing with the same thing. I'm in a friend's wedding the end of June and have to give her my measurements this weekend. I'm sure in the next 2 months I'll drop some lbs/inches so I'm a little worried about the dress. And she lives about 5 hours away, so not sure how alterations will work either. I guess it's better to have the dress be a little too big than too small!
Oh crap... I just remembered the dress is sleeveless! Too big dress AND sleeveless = Hard to Dance!! :cb: :( |
Yay! More theatre folks!! I'm a theatre major, too, currently in URINETOWN. Not my favorite show, but it's a good time. All those popular shows are fun, but I'm more into smaller-cast, contemporary stuff from lesser-known composers. I'm not as much of a fan of the huge ensemble shows, though they're way fun to be in, they frequently don't hold as much ground in the acting dept. and the songs can be a little fluffy. But I would still NEVER turn down a part in one, haha!
A little NSV: on the way home from rehearsal (I just got back), I was WAY CRAVING a molasses cookie. Like, I would've done anything for it. Buttttt I reminded myself of everything I've done and decided to come home and have a whole-grain waffle with a little splenda instead to satiate that sweet tooth. But mannnnnnnn what I still wouldn't do for a creme brulee, haha! |
