frog0726~ I went through about a week of discovering sore muscles I didn't know I had, then was fine. I did have some soreness in my hips today, but that's because I was trying to kick harder and was actually following their example for once rather than half-a**ing it. Keep with it, it is a little rough at first, but gets fun once you start getting the hang of everything. I am having to alternate it with another workout DVD though as I am easily bored... let me know how you feel after doing it a few more times, I bet you'll feel a lot better. Also, I do a little extra streching of my calves, hams, and arms to avoid any possible stresses as I am famous for pulling muscles very easy.

BernerDoc - Congrats on meeting your goal!!!!

It's March 1 so that means that I am going to do a minutes goal for exercise. I am going to aim for 1000 minutes of cardio in March. I think that's reasonable since I just recently started working out again. I took a break for a few months. I don't want to add weights in yet to my goal so that will be separate.

I haven't gone to the gym yet and am needing some motivation. I am hoping that by posting here it will get me in gear! I'll be back soon to update!

After procrastinating and laying in bed reading, I finally got my butt to the gym at around 6:30.

I did 45 min on the elliptical and 30 on the bike. So happy that I went!

30 minutes Hip Hop Abs... wasn't very hard, hopefully I will be a little sore tomorrow as I'm not sure how good of a workout it really was at this point.

vdaybaby 03-01-2008 10:12 PM

Today I did:
15 minutes on the bike
10 minutes on the elliptical
and 5 minutes of weight training/stretching

Ugh. I really wanted to get up today and get in a workout. Last night I got sucked into a book and stayed up late. I am hoping to get a workout in this afternoon, depends on what I feel like. Night workouts are hard for me and I know that I want to get up and go to the gym in the AM.

Mornings like these frustrate me.

It usually takes me an hour to get to classes...an hour and somethin, I go by train and take a cab cause lisbon is all about the hills, but today I took that train and walked the hill up to my school and walked the way down again once I had finished, I did miss 15 minutes of class, but what the **** it was for a good cause :):):):):)

didaz - good job! hills are SO tough!

I got my butt in gear for a tab bit today. I set weekly goals of 210 cardio minutes a week (my week is Tuesday - Monday). I was at 195 so I just needed 15 more minutes. I have an elliptical in my bedroom which is a really nice one but is SO hard. I got on that puppy for 15 minutes! Not a lot, but it was something and I met my weekly goal!

vdaybaby 03-03-2008 09:53 PM

nice job on meeting your weekly goal!
I only do 4 days of week, 1/2 hour sessions (so I guess 120 minutes)
Today I did:
15 minutes bike machine
15 minutes elliptical (which killed me!)
and some weight sets

gastronome 03-03-2008 09:56 PM

1.5 hour walk with my son. Most of which I was carrying him. Woooohoooo!

SlimmingDown 03-04-2008 12:43 PM

I ended up working from home so I went to the gym for my lunch break. Did 45 min on the elliptical. There was a smelly guy on the bike next to the only available bike (I know he smells from past experience). I decided that I didn't need the additional 30 minutes!

SassySar81 03-04-2008 01:17 PM

Good job everyone. Sounds like you are doing a great job and inspiring. I plan on going to the gym today when I get home from class. I usually do 45 mintues on the treadmill and about 15 minutes on the elliptical. I have been tired all day, and I think the best thing to do is exercise and get my energy up. I am not going to stop home first, because I know if I do I won't want to leave.

So far only 63 minutes of cardio in March and hopefull will add to it today.
