Default Protein

So I just had my wisdom teeth out today (they put me out for it, and other than slight jaw discomfort I'm just fine).

My problem is for the next few days I can't eat anything I really have to chew (soft breads, noodles, and that sort of thing are all okay). I'm trying to make a plan for what I'm going to eat tomorrow, and I'm having a hard time getting as much protein as I'd like.

Other than eggs, and chicken broth, can anyone think of anything? I was pondering tofu, but I'd rather not just eat it plain, but can't think of anything that is made out of it but keeps in spongy. Maybe tofu dogs? I know special k makes protein water, is that any good? I suppose SlimFast probably has protein as well, but I'm not a big fan of it.

If noodles are okay, tofu w/ noodles, soy sauce and cardamom make for a nice quick recipe. As for the rest, I don't know. I'm not a big fan of SlimFast and shakes in general, so I have no clue about what's good and what's not.

Smoothies! Chuck in some tofu, a few scoops of protein powder and you're set! Or, make "pudding" with tofu!

Slimfast has 10 grams of protein (at least in the Rich Chocolate Royale flavor I'm drinking right now)...

wow! I can't believe you're thinking about food! My hubby got his 4 wisdom teeth cut out earlier this year and he could barely stand up from the meds. He didn't eat until the next day or 2 I think. We just bought him jello, sprite, etc. He wasn't allowed anything that could get stuck in his wounds. Man! his breath was TERRIBLE for days too!!! LOL

Yogurt actually is a substitute for meat in any meal (According to the USDA). Lots of protein.

I'd make yogurt smoothies, put in blender some yogurt and whatever fruit you fancy pineapple, strawberry, banana etc., add some ice and that should feel great and satisfy!

Thanks guys. Yeah, I've been really lucky, other than a bit of an achy jaw I feel just fine. I even did a little weight training last night.
The only bad thing is I'm pretty sure the meds are making me retain water, because my weight jumped up two pounds from yesterday to today, and I stayed totally on plan, but hopefully that'll even itself back out.
Unless maybe the shoved an IV full of cake in me while I was out.
