This past friday night I had plans for a girls night out and the outfit I planned on wearing was too big and so I tried on two different outfits and they were all too big too. I haven't lost any weight but people keep saying that I look smaller so I'm guessing it's inches! Woohoo.. Congrats to everybody on their NSV!

I wore a bathing suit. In front of other people.

Seriously, I haven't worn a bathing suit in YEARS, but we have a little pool in the backyard for the kids so I bought one so I could get in with them. I wore it for the first time a few weeks ago and I thought my husband was going to pass out when he saw me! We've been together for 5 years and he's never seen me in a bathing suit (naked, yes. But no bathing suit). He loved it. And I loved it that he loved it! So we went to his company picnic last weekend at a water park, and I wore it there, too!

I haven't lost that much weight yet, but I know I am trying and that seems to make a bit of difference in how I feel about myself, confidence-wise.

Sorta silly I guess....

My little NSV for the day is that it isn't even 11 am and I've already done 30 minutes on the treadmill. I'm going shopping today so that will constitute even more walking. Plus, I'm on day two of calorie counting, which is no big deal but I plan on sticking to it! The calorie value list is incredibly helpful in this.

Woohoo! My "skinny jeans," which I couldn't pull over my thighs when I started this journey, are now a perfect fit. They were the benchmark that I've been aiming for this whole time. I'm glowing!

I can now button a shirt that I haven't been able to button for over a year, I can do the same for a blazer, and the outfit that used to make me look thin (because it did a perfect job of smushing my jelly rolls) now fits me somewhat loosely. I haven't lost much weight at all this month, though. I hope I get a lucky break and bust the plateau in around 4 days!
