I'm loving the Biggest Loser dvd.I mix it up with walking and other dvd's so I don't get to bored,but I've stuck with it for almost a month now.I also like Pick your spot Pilates tape put out by Crunch.It's a 30 minute tape that targets belly,butt,and thighs...so you can work all in one watching,or pick one.
Ok, I usually go to the gym, but my girls have been sick quite a bit this winter so dvd's are my back-up plan. These are my favorites: Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds (I have the 3 & 4 mile walk), The Biggest Loser, Kathy Smith's Kickboxing workout, Denise Austin's Shrink Your Female Fat Zones & Pilates For Every Body, The Science of Fitness with Tamilee: I Want That Body, Tahitian Cardio by Island Girl (hula). I have a few more that I use when I'm bored and I just ordered the abs & buns/thighs dvd's from Winsor pilates. I'm thinking about ordering The Firm.
I only have one dvd that's mine...heh. I bought "Dance off the Inches: Calorie Blasting Party"...it takes a few times through to get the moves down, but I finally got it, and I love it! Really good cardio workout!
Tough to make recommendations, since I believe you need to find an excercise that you enjoy doing yourself. For my personality (and lack of space at home) I need to go to a class. Currently right now I am going to a martial arts studio, where we are taught kickboxing by black belts. I love it as I can get my aggression out and it is a tough workout.
I have got to start an exercise program..
I need something I can use in my home.
Any advice?

I have an exercise/yoga (whatever ya call it) ball and free weights at home. I don't use them all that much because I am at the gym most days of the week. However, when I am at the gym, I do rotate my strength workouts to include the exercise ball and free weights, and I love it. If for some reason I can't make it to the gym, I have them here. I also walk outside alot when the weather is nice.
I have The Firm, but I never really could get into that.
I finally received my walking dvds in the mail yesterday!i tried one this morning ,they are great.i think i'm reall going to enjoy them.i have the weightloss walk 4 miles and the power walk 4 miles.i can't wait to get in to them.
You can select based on type of exercise (resistance, aerobic, combo, etc.), or by level of difficulty (beginner, intermmediate, advanced), and it will tell you whether the choreography is basic or intricate, or if you need extra equipment like a step or weights or a stability ball. PLUS, each video has a link to user comments that are usually pretty useful. I've been pleased with all the videos I've gotten from Collage.
If you don't want videos, putting on music and dancing around the house can be a lot of fun, burn a lot of calories, and be very... liberating. Big machines like treadmills or ellipticals take up a lot of space and cost a lot of money, so you need to analyze your own situation to see if that would work for you.
If you're not looking for aerobic exercise, you can do a lot with resistance training even without weights. Squats, lunges, and pushups are basic strength-builders, and can be done anywhere and everywhere. (I do wall squats and wall pushaways because I'm not strong enough yet to do the regular ones. But every little bit helps.) If you do add some hand weights or resistance bands, you can do a lot more.
