Most of my family live in the Halifax area, or just oustside.

Hi Nash,
Sorry I'm so late - welcome. I've been away from the comp due to an extra long weekend.

Congrats on being a major loser so far. I'm fairly new the the board as well. I'm also a transplanted East Coaster (Newfoundland) living in Brampton - pretty near your neck of the woods.

I really enjoyed your site and, like Sarah, am looking forward to reading more of your blog. I just love reading peoples success stories, it's my ultimate motivation. I've just added you to my list of motivators.

Cheers!

~Dee

Thanks Dee, what part of Newfoundland you from? My mother is from Seal Cove, a lot of family still there.

I'm from Dunville. If you don't know where that its, you have to pass through to get to the Argentia ferry. Not far from Seal Cove at all - hubby actually travelled to Seal Cove everyday to go to college! It still amazes me every day how small the world really is!

Looking forward to getting to know you better.

~Dee

Hi Paul,

Welcome! Great to have you here. It sounds like it is old hometown week here with everyone figuring out their connections to each other. That is great! I am a fellow prairie Canuck (but sorry, I don't recognize you - you must not have spent enough time here!). Glad to see your success, thank you for sharing. Look forward to getting to know you through this wonderful site...

Cheers,

Jenaya

Eh, I've missed loads of threads--been busy, busy, busy!

Anyway... a belated welcome, Paul, and congrats on the weight you've dropped.

Welcome to you too, suezq62.

Dee, I havent been to seal cove in 7 years but used to go every summer, i miss it there. Every aug/sept an iceberg would float into or pass the cove, one of my fave memories from childhood. My psycotic uncle refuses to drink anything without ice from a berg, so we used to go out to the big ones in his little outboard motor and chip a crudload of ice off - he has a deep freezer he specifically fills with the ice.

Jacobsmom, thanks for the big welcome and compliment on the webpage, have been busy for the last 4 days so no chance to update it, plan on doing a lot of work on it this weekend, its a big week, hitting half way point and all, should reflect it on the site

Janaya, Suez, Toofatfish, Shedilbry - thank you all, one thing that still hasn't siezed to amaze me here is the overwhelming sense of comunity. I love it.
