No Darlene, absolutely not!!! I just didn't want Kim turned off of what is a pretty good book and the web site is fantastic. I extremely dislike the cry it out theory, anyone that could let an infant wail until they are exhausted can't possibly have a heart!
Also about the jumpy or bouncy chair...if you have a chance to try it out before you buy then that might be a good idea. My son hated the bouncy chair we bought for him so it got passed on rather quickly to my SIL. If you get one as a present well that's a different story. My son really liked the big "entertainment" centers I guess they call them. His was in the shape of a big race car and he could bounce in that and it had all kinds of little toys attached to it. Of course my SIL had one that looked like a lady bug and her son hated it! Just goes to show you what one child likes another may hate!
