My neighbor is a rep for Nabisco and is always giving my dh boxes of goodies. Well today he gave him a package of Peanut butter Oreo's!!! They are just like the regular oreo's but with a peanut butter filling. They come out in April.
JUST SAY NO!!!!
I am not a big cookie fan but I do like an occasional oreo. I had one and to be honest they don't taste that great. I need to have a chat with him about giving us that crap. My ds thinks that neighbors name is Oreo. I don't want my son to get into the habit of snacking on stuff like that. I end up bringing it to work and it is gone in 20 mins.
We've had the peanut butter Oreos here in Wisconsin for 2 maybe 3 years. I cannot buy them b/c I will finish the whole package in one sitting. When I first saw them, I was like, "Oreo, have you been reading my diary?"
Oreo's are my favorite cookies!! My mouth is watering right now as I think about them. I'm sure I would like the peanut butter ones also. I don't keep any cookies in the house, they are just to much of a temptation.
Yummmm,Oreo's all mushy in milk, talk about guilty pleasures. Oreo's with peanut butter sounds delicious.Chocolate and peanut butter is a diabolical combination.
Nabisco isn't as evil as they used to be. They now have the 100 calorie snacks, with cookies or crackers like cheese nips. I bought like 4 boxes of them because they are only two points per package for weight watchers, and I don't have to feel sorry for myself that I can't have cookies (because really, who wants just 1 or 2 oreos or chocolate chip cookies?!)
Those 100 calorie packs are good. I give them to my one year old also. I figure it's a healthy snack. She does not get a bunch of junk. I am trying to start her out on the right foot. Anyways, she loves the chocolate chip ones.
I love the chocolate filled oreos and the mint ones (sometimes they come out with strawberry ones around valentines day I loved those too). The problem is that like suchaprettyface and jacobmommy I could eat them all in one sitting. However, the delicious creamy filling didn't agree with my stomach so I'd be sitting on the throne a few hours later
If anyone needs any extra help avoiding things like oreos, it's good to remember they are also loaded with trans fats, for which it has been determined there is NO safe level. Sometimes people leave stuff lying around at work, and if I'm tempted I remind myself there are two reasons not to eat them.
cheerio,
Sue
