I've heard many of you ranting and raving about Kashi Go Lean Crunch, and believe me, I've searched everywhere up here. I've found other Kashi Cereals but not this one! Fellow Canadians - Have you seen this anywhere?

SO. . . are we supposed to check in once a day or at the end of the week? Well since I do not know, I'll check in now. Yesterday was my first day in this challange. So I did great. Yesterday I drank 120oz water, and stayed on program. I did not get my work out in, but am going to try to get something in today.

Hope everyone did great,

Bella, whatever you want! I think most of us check in every day. It personally helps me stay on track. Congrats on the good day! Luvbean, you too! Good job on the walk. Water can be hard to get in. What I try to do is have some with each meal, including breakfast. If I start early in the day, it's a piece of cake to get it all in there.

How is everyone else doing? Day 2 I'm still going strong- I just got back from my workout. Unfortunately it was abridged because I ran into someone and had a second "lunch" (consisting of veggies and some cereal, which actually wasn't a bad idea) and I had to run back here to get to work (I was late, oops.) I'm not sure about cals, haven't tallied yet, but exercise is good, need to get a lot of water though, I've forgotten to take my water bottle with me to class so I only had some at lunch. Whoops!

OK, i had a tough day.....my dad called early in the morning to say my mum was taken to hospital last night....luckily, they discharged her late this morning, and think she is OK, just some more tests needed etc. ANYWAY. Amazingly enough I discovered comfort-exercise.....I was working at home today, so I headed to the gym for 10 mins cardio, lower body resistance work, and 30 mins swimming. And I feel so much better for it! Been chomping away healthily too.......I feel like I am getting back in that groove....yeah!

Claire, I'm really sorry to hear about your mom. It sounds like she will be okay, but it's still quite a scare! I hope you and your family are doing okay with everything that is going on.

Comfort exercise is great. COngrats on getting back in the groove.

Claire, hope your mum's ok -- I'm really sorry to hear that your family had a scare. Keep us posted! And CONGRATULATIONS on the healthy and self-loving responses to an event that could have ellicited a different reaction altogether!!! Yay, you!

I did my power mile with weights this morning. I didn't get a chance to do the weights last night, so I'm not sure yet if I can get through the whole session, but I'm going to try tonight. So that's 1 mile (of 5 for the challenge and 2 for the week,) with the weights workout pending. I'll update later......great job everybody!

Have been doing pretty good this week eating wise. The water thing I need to work on. I was not able to go on a walk last night and tonight I have training class with one of my pugs, which requires us to run around the ring for an hour. I suppose that would count for my walk!

Until tomorrow....

Hey guys

Thanks for the good wishes about my mum.....she seems fine, it was what is called a TIA (don't ask me what that stands for), was hopefully a one-off incident - she is seeing a neuroconsultant on Saturday, and they will organise some tests, so we shall see. She's lost a day's memory, which is freaking her out, understandably....

Well, I'm still just about in that groove.....walked for 20 mins today, and ran for 2 trains....and ate pretty healthily too.

Planning to hit the gym and pool tomorrow.....

Celina, if you're able to buy just regular Kashi Go Lean (not Crunch) I'd get it, because it's wonderful and it's better for you than the KGL Crunch. I don't eat the Crunch, I eat it (with my All Bran Extra Fiber) and it's sooooooooo GOOD!

Hey Claire!! Hope your mum is doing better..

Almost nurse here (took the courses never followed through with boards etc.) I'll tell you what I know about TIA.. This info is based on my studies so don't take it as medical advice etc set in stone and it may be totally different for your mum. In other words, not medical advice of any sort just offering my knowlege on the topic to help you understand what may be going on

Transient ischemic attack (TIA)

A transient ischemic attack is usually caused by temporary interruption of blood to a part of the brain and results in a sudden, brief decrease in brain functionality. It is only for a brief period of time. It is also usually a "freak" occurance and many don't experience it again. It's good she's following up with a specialist to check it all out. In most cases the patient is fine and continues on normally. Since she doesn't remember that day, that's more than likely the part of the brain the disturbace or interruption of blood flow affected. I'm sure she'll be fine. One thing I get irritated about is when the nurse/physician tries to explain what happened in medical lingo.. sure makes it hard for the "lay person" to interperet. Hope this helps! Keep us posted.

Alright, I'm bad.. so I haven't even started the challenge yet.. But, I'm sitting here making a new plan that starts ASAP! I must get back in control and on plan. I know I can do it.. I've just chose not to for the last couple weeks... and I've had it. So, my big RE-START day is October 1st - FRIDAY. I'm aiming for almost all 4 point days... and I'm gonna do it!

Well today I got my workout in, and it was it a very hard one, lol. I have also drank over 120 oz of water and was on program today. I am very happy with myself!

Hope every one else had a good day.

Celena, good luck with your restart. You will do great!!! Just believe in yourself.

Claire, good luck with your mom! I know first hand how hard it is when your mom gets sick! My blessings are with you!

Well that is it for me, I'll check in again tomorrow.

Yeah everyone! two days! we are doing great! and Celina, don't fret about starting late. heh, that rhymes.

I did extremely well today... i made it to 45 straight minutes on the cross trainer, at resistence level 10 for the first 30 minutes, and 8 afterwards. i've never done that before. i always tried to split it up, and almost never did 45 full minutes, so yippie!

had a few tootsie rolls, but great otherwise in the eating department.
