Default Gripe of the day...

Is it just me or does it seem no matter what size you are in that they never have your size in the clothes you like??? Whenever i have been shopping for myself or with my mother it seems like they have every size BUT ours!! I thought being in a 22 i would have an easier time finding clothes cause they always had stuff in 22s when i was in 32s but now i find all kinds of 24s and 20s and 18s! My mom is in between a size 12 and 14 and she has the same problem. ITs just not fair.

Where are you shopping? I wear about the same size and I have lots of cute stuff from Old Navy, Torrid, Target, my mom's closet and garage sales.

Have you tried shopping on-line for what you saw in the store?

What i hate about clothes sizes is when they put the sizes together. 14/16, 18/20, 22/24. At my heavest I wore a 24.... once i started loosing it seemed like anything that i liked was in a double size and nothing fit right... everything was either a little to big or a little to snug... right now I am right between a 16 or an 18 depending on how things our made. very upsetting

I do a lot of shopping online. And when I find something I love, I buy a couple of them in different colors.

When I was an overweight teenager, all the "fat lady" clothes were designed for older tastes. Or for "comfort" (meaning mumus, tent dresses, and big bright tropical prints). /shudder

No wonder I have no fashion sense, and I hide behind fairly plain clothing. I have six dresses that I wear to work, and just add a black cardigan sweater over the top during the colder season. I haven't worn pants in years. Finally, this past summer, I bought some shorts that didn't leave a permanent indentation around my middle.

I hate shopping for clothes. But as I lose the weight, it's one of the things I anticipate greatly. How's that for weird?

I'm lucky that a dear friend of mine lost weight last year so I'm enjoying all of her clothes that she can't wear...

Hey y'all...is there a clothes swap kind of thing on the boards anywhere? I think the mail list used to do that. I've got tons of size 22, 20 and 18 (16's coming soon!) nice church dresses and "teacher" clothes that I can't wear anymore. I've been giving them to my Gran's church's clothes closet, but you all are welcome to them.
