Bear with me, this is a long one since I’m playing catch-up

Merilung: Best of luck to you with your procedure this week, hope all went well and it pushes you over the edge into Twotopia

Casey: TOM always screws with my trends/weight loss efforts, and lately it’s been in ways out of the ordinary—like, there used to be a pattern, but it’s changing and now I can’t figure out what it is lol

Martine: Sometimes accomplishing laundry and chores is more than enough! That bump sounds like a bummer, glad to hear you’re getting it checked out. it gets better soon!

Curvy: Dress shopping was successful in a round about way. I ended up wearing an old, tried-and-true outfit for the shower and I’m saving the dress for the bachelorette weekend I think it’s going to be very versatile in that I can dress it up professionally for work or in a fun way for going out

Tinymightymouse: to 3FC and to this thread! I don’t know what it is about January, but I was with you on the not being able to be consistent. You’ve come to the right place for some great support and accountability. Best of luck to you on this journey!

Sunday was my friend’s shower, it went really well and I think everyone had a good time. With all the craziness of this weekend getting ready for the shower and whatnot, I guess I wasn’t drinking quite enough water and had an adventure overnight Monday into yesterday morning. I brought my friend (the one getting married) to the hospital to visit her mother who got rushed there for surprise surgery (she’s doing well and everything went great) and while were there I ended up fainting and had to go to the emergency room—if you’re ever going to pass out, I highly recommend doing it at a hospital I am also fine, a little bruised, but was cracking jokes the whole time, got a couple of cat scans and got to experience being in the hospital from the other side things, so it was an enlightening experience

In other news, I’m looking for an apartment to move into with my best friend. We’ve talked about living together for as long as I can remember, but we’ve always been in different places in our lives (mentally, literally/geographically, financially), and for right now, we’re finally in the same place at the same time—it kind of feels like a now or never kind of thing, so we’re pulling the trigger and will probably move in somewhere in April or May.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic week!

@ RunningRedHead: Thanks! Must be a weird January thing. All the best with your upcoming move! Moving in with a friend can be lots of fun, especially when you just feel like going out for a girl's night on a whim.

Week 1:
2/18:
160 (ate well until dinner when I scarfed down 2 slices of pizza, 2 Godiva chocolate truffles, a mini bag of chips, a cup of ravioli, a half cup of creamy soup, and salmon. Not expecting a good weigh-in tomorrow.)
2/19: 160.6 (+0.6) Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Squeezed in a fantastic leg day workout today and managed to stick to good food!
2/20: 159.6 (-1.0) Hit the gym for an upper body workout! Stuck to keto! And to top it off, back to the 150's club!

Tiny: Thanks

I have been 100% on plan the last two days and I’ve surpassed my hydration goal (I’ve made it to about 4-5L each day), which I think is what has been monumentally helpful in causing the last two days’ whooshes. I can’t believe we’re heading into the last week of February! Where did the month go?!

Morning all! Haven't weighed in these past few days. TOM started - blech. My weight finally budged, so it isn't ALL bad!
And a non-scale victory - don't ya just love putting on a shirt that was tight before and notice that it's now fitting a little loosely?

Week 1:
2/18: 160 (ate well until dinner when I scarfed down 2 slices of pizza, 2 Godiva chocolate truffles, a mini bag of chips, a cup of ravioli, a half cup of creamy soup, and salmon.
2/21: -- Didn't weigh in. TOM started. No point hopping on the scale just to disappoint myself with water weight.
2/22: -- No weigh in.
2/23: 158.4 (-1.2) Not too bad! Finally got some movement on the scale!
2/24: 157.6 (-0.8) Yesterday was a solid day of eating + leg day at the gym. Plus, got a"Wow, you're getting so much smaller!" which I'll take as a win.

Total for Week 1: -2.4

Hope everyone is doing great!

I have been MIA for a bit... I didn't fall off the wagon per se, but I have not been making the greatest decisions when it comes to food. I have, for the most part, stayed within my calorie limit but the scale has clearly been all over the place. My cold lasted for around two weeks and a half or so... and this past week I have been struggling a lot to get back into my routine. I have yet to go back to the gym, I've been avoiding my daily walks and I've been opting for quick/easy meals rather than cooking. Hoping to get a good start this week, and stop the slacking.

On the bright side, I ordered some jeans from Old Navy since they were having a 50% off sale. Ordered two pairs exactly like the one I had but in smaller sizes. My SUPER baggy 18s look riddiculous on me, I was unsure though if I'd fit on their 14s. Good news is, I DO! And I don't BARELY fit in them, no, they are not tight at all, no muffin top and the feel rather comfy. Now, of course they could fit a tad better, the fabric is a little bit taut but I am non the less happy. I also got a pair of 12s, I haven't tried them on yet but it's something to look forward to!

New decade today, 209.4 lbs! I doubt I'll reach my goal for this month in the next four days, and yet... I am just happy I am still here and still going. I think that's good enough for me this time.

Way to go getting to a new decade Daydreamer. And great attitude. I hate when I get sick. That's almost always when I lose my good habits and fall off the wagon. Just being back here is huge. I've been sick-ish (ie not my normal self) all month and really sick the last few days and I'm having to work extra hard to keep my good food habits mostly in place. Some things I have to change, just because some foods don't work with a cold (milk for example makes me feel even worse when I have a cold/flu). But I'm trying to still make good choices and stay within my limits as much as possible. But just being here, and continuing to be accountable is a big step. And way to go on fitting into your 14s. I love clothing NSVs.

@ DayDreamer26 Colds just throw everything out of routine, huh? Stinks! But glad you're back and feeling positive about getting back on track.

As for me, I'm using a habit tracking app to help with accountability. I'm doing a "loose" version of keto where I'm keeping my carbs under control and keeping my protein/fats/veg higher. Just noticed it's been about a week since falling off the wagon! Feels pretty good!

Week 1:

Week 2:
2/25:
157.6 (N/A) No change since yesterday. But had a great upper body workout day - challenged myself to do pushups and rocked it!
**Logging today's binge to keep myself accountable: handful of Pringle chips, 2 handfuls of trail mix, 1 packet of oatmeal, 3 truffle chocolates, half sandwich (1 slice whole grain bread, 1 slice cheese, squirt of ketchup, 1 slice deli turkey)... might have missed some. Trying not to ruin the whole day with this one little slip-up**

tinymightymouse: I am so glad you've managed to get back on track! I also need to get back on a more strict regimen. I have been taking too many liberties.

Lacerta: At the end of the day, that's all the matters right? I keep telling myself, everyday you stick with it is a day you didn't give up! Even if you barely make it, even if you didn't lose any, it's all better than gainning and/or giving up! And at the end of the day, time will go by regardless of what we choose to do with it. So yes, it takes a while to lose weight, but would you rather be your same old unhealthy self by this time next year? Or would you rather be stronger, healthier, and happier?

---

Well, I said I'd be back on track this week and yet... Here I am sitting on the couch and not at the gym. I'll try to make it there at least twice before the week is out. I have been trouble sleeping lately, last night I lay in bed until 5am. This is probably the main reason why I've been having such a hard time going backn into my routine. I lack sleep, my schedule is all messed up and my energy levels are on the floor. Not sure ifI need to introduce some 'wind-down' time before bed or something.

Saw a huge drop today. I wasn't really expecting one, since I had just had one the day before but I won't complain. 208.3 lbs That makes a whole 41.4 lbs lost. I was just thinking about this yesterday... I can't tell. I don't feel like I've lost any weight. I know I have, I know I am smaller (I fit in smaller jeans) but I can't SEE it and I don't think anyone around me can see it either. It's a bit discouraging, to put so much time and effort and be 'blind' to the results. It's innevitable I suppouse. Maybe once I drop another 40 lbs ...

DayDreamer: Way to go on your progress so far this month, you’re absolutely killing it! And congrats on your overall loss, more than 40lbs?! That’s incredible, great job!

The whole month of February has been a bust for me in terms of working out, but I guess here’s to March, which I can’t believe is in a couple days; 2019 sure is flying by!

Week 2:
2/25:
157.6 (N/A)
2/26: No weigh in. Off-routine day.
2/27: No weigh in. Snowed in today. Didn't get a workout in. Went off track for dinner again. Had 6 pieces of Ferrero chocolates, sandwich (1 slice bread, slice of cheese, slice of turkey, mayo), 1/2 cup pasta salad... Getting off routine is really kicking my butt. Can't help but be frustrated, but I know tomorrow will be a better day!

tinymightymouse you are totally right, tomorrow is a new day and an opportunity to make it a good one. Could it be that you eat much more than planned at supper time because you are not eating enough throughout the day? I know that when I'm super hungry by the end of the day, I can eat everything in sight.

RunningRedHead happy to hear that the bridal shower was a success, I know you put a lot of work into it. Did you find out why you fainted though? That happened to me once following what I learned later to be a pulmonary embolism, and it was so scary. Though you say you didn't exercise much this month, you still had great success reaching a new low, congratulations!

DayDreamer26 amazing result to end the month! I'm sorry to hear that you have had trouble sleeping. It's an almost-constant struggle for me, so I understand how that affects your energy level and how hard it is to work out when you feel so tired. Regarding not being able to see the results of your 41-pound weight loss, have you considered taking pictures today, so you can see the difference later on? Sometimes you need to see yourself from another point of view to realize what tremendous progress your're making.

Lacerta hope you feel better soon.

Well February has come and gone and I report no loss at all, which is a bummer. I know that around the time of David's surgery I was stress-eating so that's where things went wrong. And then for the week after his surgery we were both barely sleeping so that didn't help either. I'm back on plan though, meal prepping and all. Still not drinking enough water though. I'm thinking of looking for an app for my Apple watch to set reminders to drink. Gotta find a way to reach that goal.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's continued success in March

Martine: The docs/ER folks weren't sure, but if I had to bet, I'm 95% sure it was from dehydration. It's definitely not the first time I've fainted, it just doesn't happen frequently. If it happens again, I just have to follow up with some specialists. I'm all good though, back to my normal, goofy self

2/28: 225.5

See everyone in the March thread
