Back from vacation!! :)
While we were out of town, baby (Matthew Isaac!) started kicking hard enough for hubby to feel it... and for me to see it. He kicks hard enough sometimes that I can see my clothing flutter. So awesome. |
Doing slightly better today, but still a little grumpy. I went and ran after work last night and it was pretty brutal. I had to push like crazy to go the usual distance. I had all kinds of excuses of why I needed to stop early, but I finally made it. I took more little breaks than usual, but made it. I should have been thrilled, but just glad it was done. Went to Body Pump this morning. It was fine, but still wasn't into it. But that's all for today. I was ok with food plan, just waiting for the mood to change. :)
Mandy: Aw!! So cute! Love the name Matthew Isaac, too! Jenni: Awesome with the steps! Try to stay cool in the 100 degree weather. We've been there for about a week now. Whew! Toasted: Yeah, starting out with lifting is really tough. You need to start light and then build, but even then, you can be sore. Sounds like you have some good ideas on it though! Nagazim: So good to see you posting again! You were missed! |
Diane...I think we all go through the moods of this journey. You are so strong and always persevere that is what is so inspiring about you. So just so you know even if you are at a tuff spot you still inspire :)

Toasted - Procrastination is something I struggle with. Waking up earlier than my alarm would have me in a bad mood lol. I love my sleep too much. Glad you made it to work and even exercised before! Way to go!
Jenjen - We bought a house last year that doesn't have central AC. All of my homes previously have felt a nice 69* all year long. This house is very old and needed a lot of love. We do have window units installed but the 100*+ heat still gets rough around midday. Before we had the units, I thought we'd all have heat stroke. I don't know how you're making it. I hope you get cooled off really soon! Just move into the bounce house :P Fera - YAY for outward baby kicks! What a great memory from your vacation! Congratulations on your baby boy :cheer3::cheer3::cheer3: Slash - I hope your mood lifts soon. At least you're doing better than 99% of others (including myself). A bad moood is a good excuse to not exercise and have a pizza. Your resolve is commendable! AFM - I've managed to stick to plan and currently my mind set is if my family wants to eat with me at meal times, they can have what I'm having. Hubby is doing better than his initial talk proclaimed. As in, I know he ate out yesterday when he took our girls to shop with him, but then he ate only compliant foods once he was home. I can handle that. It's when they bring frenchfries up under my nose that annoys me so much. We road our bikes for 1.5 miles yesterday. Totally not much but better than the .5 miles I started with. My body is just so heavy on that bike. It was tough to get it going very well. First night I cried that I was going to pop it's tires and be embarrassed. I'm happy to report that the tires have stayed intact. Oh well. Day 3 done. Bring on Day 4! |
Whoops I forgot to talk about what's in my breakfast juice. I mainly just bought a bunch of veggies so I may change things up a bit. It just depends.
Breakfast Juice:
I added a few blueberries the other day since my 3 yr old drinks it with me and wanted it a little sweeter. It's not bad as is to me. Fills me up and makes it so I don't have to 'eat' breakfast. I'm not a breakfast person at all. |
Just a quick drop in to say hi! Also scales were nice this week down 2.5 pound to 225 so the 220s are definitely being nicer to me so far. Although my body seems to have a couple of weeks to chill every 10 pounds so due soon - I'm guessing its just when I slack off. Going to try eating more this week, not caloriewise but bulk ie. more vege. I feel like my bodies a bit sluggish in the middle of winter so lots of vege and try and kerb my love of salt this week. Oh double digits I can almost taste you my precious ..... nearly halfway.
Have a lovely day ladies!! And can I say I'm loving such a busy board again, highs and lows you girlies are rocking it just being here. |
Nagazim...ty it is hard without ac. I never complain on the 80s days cause it cools down at night...but ewwwewieee not 90s and 100s!!! I stold your mini goal idea.
|
I'm here! I was reading posts through work interruption after work interruption, and realized the time. I have a meeting I need to prepare for, so I just skipped the remainder of the posts and am posting quickly.
Toasted - I have the hard copy of NROLFW (and have gone through the program a couple of times), but I print out the excel spreadsheets that Maggie Wang posted online and take those to the gym. I just date them and put them in a folder. That way, I know what weights to start with. Just google "new rules of lifting for women excel spreadsheet" and it's the first result. And weight lifting, especially at first, will make you sore. But it shouldn't hurt. Okay. I am still at 230.4. But I'm feeling all kinds of stressed over husband/kid drama. But I had it out with the husband last night, and am feeling much better. Today's goals - 1 - No random sweets. None. 2 - Get in some exercise. 3 - Stop eating at 7:30. Nothing but zero calorie liquid will pass my lips after 7:30. Easy, right? I am going to try to be back to respond to more people, but I predict it is a day that will get away from me. |
For some reason I am not able to get on this site at work. I'll check in later.
|
Hot hot hot lol thats all I got. Now that rhymed. Still chugging away. The boards have been slow probably due to summer!
|
Missloud - Congratulations on the loss!!!
Jenjen - That's alright I'm sure I got it from someone else too so it's not really mine :P I hope you cool off some today! :dancer: AFM: I've officially stuck to plan for 6 whole days! It's truly an accomplishment since I usually give in to chocolate by now. Yay! I guess this means my husband will have to go full blown Paleo tomorrow right? ;) We'll see. I'm actually doing fine alone. I can do this! I weighed this morning and I'm down 12 lbs already! |
Guys, from the time I got back home and weighed myself Monday evening through this morning's weigh in, I have peed out 12 pounds of vacation water and my ankles have reappeared... Plus my favorite slip on shoes fit my feet again.
YAY! :D Also, I'm starting to look more pregnant round than just fat chick round. :D http://i57.tinypic.com/1z6yrrd.jpg |
Lots of stress my way could use good thoughts prayers. One thing I am really happy is as stressfull as it is I have not turned to food.
|
Erg totally fell off the wagon this weekend! Bread and crackers galore. Back to it today but I think I blew my challenge. Back too it I guess :(
My thoughts are with you jenni hope the stresses in your life are lifted. Oh my Mandy look at that bump, exciting! |
Mandy - Yay for a baby bump!
Jenni - I hope your days are looking brighter. MissLoud - At least you're getting back on the wagon. You're already ahead of 90% of everyone else ;) AFM: Long weekend with my husband working but still a good one. I've officially been on plan for 10 days! Yay!!! It's definitely a record for the year. We went to a birthday party and I never even thought of wanting any of it. It feels so good to be above the call of food. I know I'll have a tempting day at some point, I'm just glad they're away for now. I hope everyone has a great day today! |
