Slinking back, tail between my legs.

I haven't weighed in several days, and I know tomorrow will show me a significant gain. I went off the rails, and I mean WAAAY off the rails, almost into 5 days worth of binge territory. My in-laws were staying here, and while I love them and think they are super amazing, generous, wonderful people... they are kinda picky, and their schedule is very different from my own, and making adjustments to fit their needs sorta stressed me out and turned me into a food vacuum.

Also, it's Pastor Appreciation Month, and my husband is very well liked by the congregation and is getting TONS of stuff from them. We have so much junk food here now, because they asked what his favorite snacks/drinks were, and they made them or bought them, and sent them our way. A couple of them have treated us to dinner out, or to dinner at their home, and with his official installation service happening this past weekend, all the leftovers from that were sent home with us to put in our freezer. I have been inundated with food! SO. MUCH. CAKE.

But we've also received a telescope (because they found out we both are sky watchers - and they weren't using it), a gorgeous table runner with matching napkins and coasters - made by a member of the congregation, and a couple gift cards to various places around town. These people are amazing, but so so so hard on my will power lol.

Mandy--I hope the binge weight comes right off. What a perfect storm: too much food in the house and stress of company. Ugh!

I said I'd check back in today and though it's almost tomorrow, here I am! I exercised yesterday and today and ate well except for dessert that a friend made for me. I had only a little. But otherwise I'm feeling more on track. Like Mandy, I was WAAAY off the rails! It feels so much better to be on. Why can't I remember that?

Hey everyone!!!! Looks like we are all chugging along!

I am going to Disney mid November wondering if any of you have been there while eating healthy and have any secrets???? I am a little nervous about this!

Today was my "cheat" day. I used some of my weekly extra points so I'll wait until Monday to see how that all plays out. Not doing a weigh-in until then!

jenjen -- what we did at Disney was sit down and eat at a nice restaurant while there and ordered healthy. We were there all night (2 adult women I should add) and never stopped to eat anything else after that!

Yesterday's weigh in was 282.8. Up 3 from last week's weigh in (which was the last time I weighed).

Today's weigh in was 282.4, down .4 from yesterday, so moving in the right direction again. TOM will not win this round. :-|

Restart is going well so far. Our anniversary was yesterday so we didn't stay on plan for that meal but it was yummy. I'm up about 2 lbs but I know it'll shed back down.


Jen Jen- We only ate once a day while at Disney. Which wasn't "healthy" but we just never slowed down. We had fruit and snacks in our room for "breakfast" then didn't eat again until dinner that night somewhere in the park. It was so much fun and I liked being able to order what I wanted. Good luck! You can do it!

When we went to Disney, last year, we ate breakfast at our condo and packed our lunch and snacks. The kids got some quick service stuff for supper (at least once) but my husband and I didn't even do supper at the park. He would eat a sandwich, or something like that, when we got back to the condo. Of course I got stuck being the "pack mule" for the most part. Good luck, whatever you choose to do!

Weigh in today was down two pounds from yesterday, to 280.4.... so only 0.6 above my low 10 days ago.

Jenni, good luck at Disney, I went there when I was 22 and childless so I'm no help, best of luck to you with eating while there but honestly I say enjoy your time there and don't worry about food. Make the best choices you can but not to the point of worrying about the scale Have fun

Hello everyone; I've been a bit MIA lately. Yes Rennie, you were right, yesterday was my 30th birthday - thank you for the wishes . This weekend was a wash, however, somehow I managed to limit the gain to 0.9lbs, so I'm at 195.9. I'm not in the 80s as I had wanted, but sometimes ish happens. I'm not going to quit, I'm going to continue to move forward, and just keep chugging along. Hoping everyone is doing well, I'll have to catch up with you all at some time. But right now, life is insanely crazy for me, and it's all I can do to stay sane. Talk soon

jenjen - I hope you have a nice trip to Disney. Try and get in as much activity as you can too. I'm going on a 3 day cruise next week and a 7 day cruise in December. My plan is to eat a small amount of what I want, stay away from the sugary fruity drinks and to get in lots of activity. My goal is to not gain any weight.
