Default The treadmill... ugh!

So, I am not a runner. I would love to be, but I'm not. That isn't stopping me from trying though!

So, I jumped on the treadmill the other day and ran for about 20 minutes. Besides the fact that 2 days later, my calves still hurt and besides the fact that it pushed me so hard I thought I was going to keel over --- it made me SO self conscious!

Every stride I felt my body lift up, then I felt my body step down, followed a half second later by my FAT!

I felt like I was running in a loosely fitted fat suit that bounced around at a different pace than the rest of me. My back, my butt, my boobs and my belly were all independent from me and independent from each other!! GAH!

Does that EVER go away? I'm sure there will always be some boob jiggling, but the whole body suit feeling? Is that constant or do you have to be perfectly toned everywhere before your body just moves together as a unit?

I started doing 5k's in August after 8 weeks or so of training slowly. I will 100% say, get a good sports bra. I mean one that's 40 bucks and I like the moving comfort brand, because even though we'll lose weight and need a smaller one in a few months, it was totally worth the investment for me last month when I realized that my dingy sports bra was really causing most of the jiggle in the upper body. I felt if my boobs weren't secure that the rest of my stomach area was even less secure.

Now no more uniboob or jiggle! It is so hard to run when your boobs are everywhere. I know you mean your stomach too, so I also say just get a loose fitting shirt and that's what made me feel less self conscious at first.

Once I got my groove going though, (and my awesome sports bra), I feel I am moving as a unit!

I will also say, I do run on a treadmill too but I also run outside because in the realistic i'm running a 5k, I don't run at a constant pace for the whole race. It's nice to start slow and then speed up and run slow when you just feel tired and etc. Soooo find yourself a school track that you can invade and try running on there! At least so you can kind of find your groove.

Good luck, you'll be a cohesive unit soon enough.

I run about 3 miles 3-5 times a week.

And yes, the body jiggle gets better. A lot better. When I run, there's a lot less bounce of the body. It's not uncomfortable, and I forget about it when I run now. It's not the whole body suit experience. As I shrink, it goes away even more, and I'm not that tone at all. Just hang in there!

Also, with the sports bra, I got one for about $11, and it works great! And I'm a C-cup (sometimes D in some brands), so it's not like my boobs are tiny and super easily contained. Just get something comfortable.

Default I'm gonna say I'm against loose clothing

Get a good top notch sports bra. Moving Comfort and under armour and keep you bounce free.

Compression garmets. If you want to wear something over, so be it. Compression shorts will support your muscles and keep all the jiggle in place. I wear Under Armour compression sorts under everything when I run and do Jazzercise.
