Holy crap! I thought my (upper) arms were starting to look good from my weight lifting, but you put me to SHAME, girl!
I hear you on the bat wings. If I could just kind of "pin" that lower flabby part back, I'd look pretty good, lol!
Thanks for posting though. You and I have similar "stats" (starting weight and height), so it gives me an idea of what to expect in 30 lbs or so. I know we're all different and carry our weight differently...but it's nice to see what other people are doing. Thanks again!
Thanks everyone for the kind words. It's kind of freeing to put out there to the world that this is what I am like right now. For awhile I felt a little cheated that even with all my effort working out that the skin is so bad (to me). I was disappointed but I didn't lose weight for vanity but to get healthy and I am doing just that.
But because this is an issue for me personally my Husband supports me in getting it corrected. I am not afraid of surgery or the recovery. I know I earned it and I look forward to it in the Fall.

I have to say that my big flabby wings are my weakest point self esteem wise. I think it's because other ppl can see them move or flap or wave or whatever...lol.
I think you are a beautiful woman and if having the surgery gives you that extra boost of confidence it can only make you feel all the better !!! Good luck and thanks for the inspiration
Oh, I can so relate to this post. I do an upper body workout three times a week, and I have seen the hanging part of my arms slowly decrease, but it's still there. It's taking such a long time to happen, though, and it's a daily reproach to me about what I did to myself by getting that fat, and how some things can't be fixed just through sheer will.
Based on what's happened with my arms, I think yours still could get smaller through exercise.
And, I just want to add that I never used to notice the "bat wing" effect, but when I started losing weight I started paying attention, and that's when I noticed that A LOT of thin women have bat wings even though they are slim.
I think it's pretty common to have a wee bit of loose skin, and BELIEVE ME, with you, the ONLY thing people will notice is the MUSCLES.
Yes, what they said!
You know I have never once noticed someone elses bat wings, ever. If I see a woman with larger arms in a sleevless summer dress I'm envious and wish I had the courage to do the same. I seriously doubt anyone ever spends time thinking about my arms!
