I definitely carry the bulk of my weight in the middle. This is frustrating as my tops are big on top (even though I'm larger chested...still in a D cup) but tend to be "clingy" in the middle so I usually go with the next size up. Same thing with pants. They're baggy in the butt and thighs, but I have to get them big enough to fit around my gut. UGH!
