Thanks, all, for the prayers and concern. Have had no time for posting or even lurking. Should be in bed but needed a diversion and here I am.
yes, some good news. Dh left intensive care today. The problem had to do with aneurysms that ruptured in his kidney. He had 13 units of blood. They repaired those aneurysms but he has more that could go (or might never). He has had dialysis three times and I think is scheduled for tomorrow. We're expecting an ice storm and I'm not sure I'll be able to get in. I am so tired but have been holding up well (I'm the type that falls apart when it's all over and I have that pencilled in for when I get time).
He's so weak and tired and I have no idea when he'll be able to get home. All else is on hold. the only other good news is that I have SHOCKED myself and not turned to food during this bad time. A few years back I'd have probably eaten everything is sight. My choices have not always been the best (eating mostly in hospital caf) but I don't think I've gone bananas either. Not really paying a lot of attention but drinking water when I can and just seem to have made better eating habits finally.
Anyway, thanks again. Hope to get caught up on lurking sometime but no idea yet when life will even remotely resemble "normal" again.
