The Holidays have been rough for me. LOTS of it has been my bad choices, but I realize, that I am not as strong as I thought I was. I REALLY need to make sure all of the junk is out of the house, or not as easily accessible. At least until I have made a habit over a couple of months. I have gained back three of the four pounds I had lost.
No, matter, I am clearing out the kitchen this week, and walking this week to get back into it, then getting back on plan.

I feel like a failure from Christmas. I gained 4 pounds i believe it is. I'm not changing my ticker until my official weigh in on Thursday. I'm going to drink lots of water between now and then and hope its water weight haha!

Doing alright. I had a moment or twenty of weakness on the 26th & had mac & cheese, which always does bad things to my weight. Sure enough, I was up 2 pounds on the 27th at my daily weigh in. Unamused, but it did help verify that it's on my foods I can't have list.

I've decided to do things a lot differently in 2011. Instead of daily weigh-ins, I'm only going to weigh in once a week. I'm also going to be taking monthly waist/hip measurements and charting those as well. The daily weigh in is just more than my blood pressure can take, kwim?

It is normal to go up a little during the holidays! Thank God the holidays are over and we can move forward! Just a slight bump in the road...we can do this! Time to get back on track and keep going!

Just got finished making small goals to be at 199 for the end of the challenge! It's going to be tough and I'm going to have to track and exercise but it is do-able! I realized when I was doing this..THIS is why it's called a "challenge". Because it will be and I'm pretty confident that we are all going to be successful! some weeks actualy have 17 days in between so I made the goal 5 pounds for that 2 weeks.

What do y'all think and am I the only one who has had to plan this out? lol. I feel like it keeps me on track and shows me where I'm heading. Its just my personal little milestones/checkpoints in the summer bikini challenge!

I'm thinking of setting a goal for the end of this challenge. But I'm stalled.
Since the last weigh in, I've lost a couple of pounds... but I'm getting unmotivated. Maybe an end goal will get me pumped.

Thaisccs - stalls happen! You can do this! If you have a goal number it might give you motivation to meet your goal! Even if you made it 20 - 25 pounds less than your CW and you had no weeks where you lost or gained, but had a couple of 1-2 pound weeks you could make that goal easily!! We've got to light a fire under ya!

I started a yearly challenge: 365 miles in 365 days! You should come join us, we will start counting our mileage after Jan 1st.

I've always been told to "make a goal" bc if you don't know where you're going, how will you know whenever you get there?

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had holiday set backs here too! Gained about 4 pounds early on in December and was bummed. BUT, now pleased that those 4 pounds didn't snowball into more... I've lost two of them already. Ate pretty much off plan for the last 3 weeks (been doing a new "lifestyle" for 5 months now). What I learned? I still gravitate to carbs and fatty foods, but not a much as I used to. And I am much more likely to stop eating when I start to get full (still more than I should, but not in ridiculous quantities). AND I don't like the way my body reacts to all those fatty, sugary, processed foods now. So, while I fell off the wagon a bit, it did show that I have made some changes in my habits! That's something. Ready to hit 2011 hard!

CutieCourt - I live by my planned timeline! I used an Excel spreadsheet to plan out losing 1% of my body weight each week for months! (I changed it to 0.5% after I get under 200 - I wanted to be realistic. I figured it would be okay to lose faster, but this was sort of my bare minimum.) I even plotted it on a chart to have a visual. I find it SUPER helpful to be able to see the potential progress. It's motivating to see where I COULD be in 3 months. And it makes it easier to see the relation between the goals. I can see how screwing up a week sets them all back... Here's what my chart looked like in November (I've been remiss in posting it since then! ) http://boxweek.blogspot.com/2010/11/weigh-in-15.html

2011 starts next weekend -- I'm giving myself a few more days to be sorta lazy, then it's go-time! Best of luck to everyone!

Update: I felt like I was cheating by showing an old chart where I'm way under the goal line, so in the interest of owning my own progress (or lack thereof), I've attached an updated chart!

Jen - I really enjoyed your chart! That's such a great idea the new year does start next week and you've got your plan in place! We will be successful in 2011!

I've been heavily medicated for my asthma which is causing a stall or a gain (not sure which as I my scale and I are not on speaking terms)

My eating has been good. So I'm working through it and will be back to exercising, etc next week.

I bounced back up a pound after Monday, but I had Jimmy John's (aka Sodium Central) on Monday and I always seem to bounce up after that. I'm back down half a pound already, so I'm not calling it a day yet and adjusting my ticker, as I really think it's a water bounce. I'm hoping that I might be able to be at 149.something by New Year.

Well I started working out again yesterday! I actually made it to the gym... My arms are sore haha go figure!
I just did Jillian Michaels shred it with weights today. Anyone else done it? I watched...yes I said watched. The biggest loser Cardio Max weight loss workout dvd. I wasn't feeling up to doing both. I have 6 workout dvds now and I'm going to try to cycle through them. I was up 4 pounds after Christmas and this morning 2 of those were gone. I hope the rest is gone soon!!

Glad to hear everyone is doing so great!! Keep up the good work!

November and December have been really rough on me. In two months, I've only lost 8.2 lbs. I shouldn't complain because it's still a loss; however, I know I can do better. A new year brings renewed committment. The weather has been crappy...so no walks. I've been sick (which caused me to gain weight...even though I couldn't eat. I thought that was weird).

Woohoo! Here we come 2011.

^^Right there with you SunshineTater! I've only put down about 8 lbs in the last 2 months... But 8lb is still 8lb, and it motivates me to get it together now!
