Maybe your sister didn't mean it that way??? Maybe she meant that her pants were too big to be a goal for you?? In any case, don't let your sister unravel your focus on weight loss. I am wishing you the best!!!

It's kind of weird how we get put in the fat role and when we deviate from it, people get upset. Like their self-esteem is based on being prettier, skinnier, more popular than we are. How dare we take care of ourselves! Aren't we supposed to be making them feel good?
Your sister is threatened. Don't even mention it anymore. Seriously. The next time you're together and people keep telling you how fabulous you look and don't say anything to her, it'll drive her crazy. (I've been there, I promise.)
And the next time she offers you some of her clothes just look at her kindly and say.. mmm I appreciate it, but I'm not sure they'll fit me anymore..

So why be surprised?

I'd continue with your getting healthier efforts, and if this motivates you, yay.

But keep it to yourself or share with the folks on the board here. But don't zing your sister any more. It's not kind. Give her the chance to just be supportive of your effort without having to deal with "sibling rivalry weirdness" too.

GL!

I would have to agree with this. Where I want to be the skinny sister, I'd never say that to my sister. Sounds like a tit for tat situation, both of you were in the wrong IMO. I'm sorry she hurt your feelings though.

I don't want to compete with my sister and it literally hurts her feelings if I lose weight one week and she doesn't so rubbing it in her face would be totally rude. Not saying you did that... just explaing where I'm coming from.
