I have always been a furnace - I always say that with as much heat as I put out, I should burn a lot of calories. But Hubby (who lost about 150 lbs) is always cold now, just like everyone here.
I will say that exercise boosts my heat output - I am almost sweating after my shower when I sit at my desk to check e-mail.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who is freezing. I've been procrastinating about getting my thyroid and hemoglobin checked-- I've never had a thyroid problem before, but have had a tendency to be anemic in the past and my mom mentioned to me that I was looking pale again-- probably time to double check....
I remember being a sweaty little furnace in the past, but now, I am rarely hot and NEVER sweat unless I'm working out. Go figure.
I, too, am colder than I used to be. Not always, but last week in my office it was noticeable - I FROZE. More blankets on the bed, too. Moving helps, and in Alaska we do layers really well anyway.
Yep, I'm always cold too unless I'm working hard, (like mowing or tilling the garden etc). I take a lot of hot baths and have been known to drive around in my car with the seat warmers on and thermostat set at 90, (on a 75 degree day!)
Hahaha! I've done that! I once told my friend I wanted to run to the gas station, but really I just wanted to blast the heater in my car because I was freezing my butt off.
I'm not quite cold all the time yet though. I finally got to onederland, and since then I've noticed that I REALLY don't get hot as much anymore. I just went for a long jog, and usually by the end of it I'm dripping copious amounts of sweat, but today I was only damp, and by the time I walked home I wasn't sweating anymore. My best friend also had a going away party, and her, myself, and one of our thin friends were in the bathroom sipping on a few drinks and doing our makeup and they were complaining about how hot they were, but I was fine (in a HOODIE no less....)

I have the heaters on full blast in my car. My son will be in the back seat yelling... "I'm on FIRE!" I can't help it, I swear my bones are frozen sometimes.

Hey OODLES!! I can't believe you're in ONEDERLAND!!! WTG!!!
Funny this be mentioned, I was wondering the other day if this was normal. After losing 90+ lbs, I am freeeezing, I have a space heater in my bedroom, I usually have to sleep with a sweater on, and I almost always have hot baths once a day to warm myself up, its ridiculous!!!!
Being cold is something I look forward to! I just can't stand being hot and sweaty all of the time. I can already feel a difference somewhat. The warmer weather hasn't bothered me at all yet - I know it isn't really hot yet, but usually by now, I'm already whining! I also can't seem to get warm in bed at night, I've been sleeping with 2 comforters!

The other day my friend and I took our kids (dogs!) to the lake. It was +18 here, and generally I can't handle the heat well. Pasty pale white skin and all... At any rate, I burnt my arms and face badly, but throughout our stay, I kept fighting the urge to toss my hoodie on. Any breeze that kicks up and I'm freezing cold.
I, too, take nice warm baths when it's +15 out. I need the heat on in the vehical, etc.
Even though it's sometimes a pain to be always cold, it's one little reminder that comes up and lets us realize our weight-loss!
My husband has been asking me why am I always cold. I don't know but the ac can't be on period. If it just me or me and the baby in the car the heater is on at night or I cut everything off and keep the windows up. I sleep under a down comforter in bed, I have a fleece blanket on the sofa always trying to warm up. This creates a problem because he puts off heat all the time. He's in great shape but works outside and I think he's storing heat. I can't get heated by him because all of me isn't covered and he won't get under the comforter or throw. What to do, what to do???
I've definitely noticed more cold issues, and a harder time warming back up. It's not too bad for the summer, but it makes Alaska winters a little rougher!
I'm the "always hot" person! I'm not in permenopause (had a hysterectomy in my 30's). It must be all this . . . fluff I'm carrying! I can't wait to be slender and cold! It costs a lot to run the AC in my house but I can't live without it! If it get bad enough I have to sleep in the basement (family room).
