what was I thinking???

  • Well, I paid on the scale this morning-- I'm up two pounds. Now, logically, I know that I did not gain two pounds of fat, but still it was a good reminder.

I *think* what makes me pick around is when I have a slightly out-of-control feeling... I get a feeling that I don't know exactly how much I've been eating... it started with eating almost a whole pan of butternut squash-- but I had weighed the squash before I cooked it, so when I looked up the calories by weight I realized that it wasn't as many calories as I had feared... and it was like somehow I felt like I had "gotten away with it..." and I think that might be what triggered me...

    dunno...

I've been at this for ten months, and I've never had a real off-plan binge, but whenever I stray off my plan I feel like the beast is lurking there.

Anyway, I'm sure today will be a good day. Thanks for the support.
  • I know the feeling. I have a larger calorie range than you, but I can definitely tell when I go over... I have a sick sort of full feeling that is uncomfortable. It is hard to believe that sometimes I ate twice what I do now! Crazy! But isn't it great that our stomach's will shrink after we get used to less food? It's a struggle at first because you want to eat more, but over time, you adjust.
