Wow, Dyan, 5 lbs!!! I can tell by the matter-of-factness of your post that you are (like me) trying to keep an even keel about this weight loss journey.

I am down 1.5 lbs. for a total 18 lbs. lost. My goal is 223 by August 15, so I just might make it. It sure would be nice to meet my goal and get my 20 lb. star on the same night.

Jennelle,

Trust me, I was/am very excited about it. But I've posted "big" weight losses before, and no one seemed as excited as I was about it, so now, I don't bother with the smileys and what not.

Don't get me wrong....everyone is very supportive and encouraging. But I guess no one would be as excited about it, as me.

Your right, I do need to keep myself on an even keel. This week was probably a fluke and next week I will lose nothing, so I'll be excited for today and then tomorrow is a new day.

I did want to congratulate you on the 18 pounds! That is simply awesome, even if you are trying to stay "neutral" about the whole thing. I have to say kudos!!!

Hi Everyone:
I lost another four pounds this week For the first time in
ages I feel like I can lose this weight once and for all. I have
lost nine pounds in two weeks and 54 pounds from my all
time high weight of 309. Mind you the 309 was in 1994. I look
at that before picture all the time to remind myself.........
Anne.
