DECEMBER - One reason you will stay on plan today
There are many reasons to stay on plan today... But, this post is about the ONE reason you will stay with it today.

I am worth it!!

I want to feel great for a family party on the 17th.

Gloomy weather is no excuse to overeat.

cause too-small blue jeans are painful! (i posted this on November's...oops...forgot today was the first day of December) :)

cause I turn 31 in a little over a week, and I deserve to be good to myself.

I will stay on my plan today because I want to be able to PUSH THROUGH the pangs of mindless eating - I want to be able to have a sane day with food and start building on it.

I want to stay on plan today because:
I love the energy I have right now! It feels good.... and I'm tired of, well, feeling tired. My mind feels clearer, I have more bounce to each step, and smiling is simply easier. |
Because...the pain of NOT EATING is less pain than the pain of when I binge and feel icky or give in to my compulsions!

because I worked so hard to get to the 240s and I am NOT happy about revisiting the 250s

I struggle with exercise now, not food. So I've decided that I'm going to walk everyday for a week and see what that does for me. I walked yesterday, so being on plan this week means walking.
And the one reason I'm going to do it is because I want to be a healthy person in all ways. |
I love this idea. I'm going to try and post one reason every day.

Because today ends a complete 6 weeks of my new lifestyle and 6 weeks is the longest I've ever attempted to lose weight. This time is different --- 17 lbs down and no desire to stop!!

because I didn't do as well as planned over thanksgiving and my body let me know it wasn't happy about it.

...because I just saw the Thanksgiving photos and dear LORD. Nope, no more, and I even mean it this time.

because I want to make my 10% loss this week!

Because by summer time I want to look half way decent in a swimsuit... I have not worn a swimsuit out in public for a LONG time.

because I want to be able to cross my legs again without it being painful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because I am retaining so much water right now and I feel gross. I know how much better I'll feel if I stick to my plan and get the water weight back off.

I will stay on my plan today because if I have a really good op day - then I can build on this and create some healthy momentum.

BeverlyJoy, you are right on the money with the momentum. I will not let the holiday season stop my momentum! I will stay on plan today because I only have a few pounds to lose to get below 200! I am not sure about exactly how long it has been since I was under 200 but about 30 years.

Because I really, really want to be 250 lbs by January 1st!

Because even though the scale hasn't budged.. I feel so much better when I exercise and eat right!
