Default Labour Day Challenge #1

Labour Day (September 2) is exactly 7 weeks away. I've been so off program lately it's not funny. I need a challenge to get me back on track. Anyone else up for a challenge? This is doubly important for me as I'll be going back to work in September so I'd like to get a bit more weight off before then.

My goal is to lose at least 10 lbs. Anything else will be a huge bonus but 10 lbs will put me back in the 100's, a sight I haven't seen in many, many years.

I'm going to make this a running thread so we don't forget about our goals. Can we do it?

YES WE CAN!!

in "summer goals" I posted that I wanted to be at 200 by labor day. It's going to be really tough! I have 13 lbs to lose. But I will give it my all

I am working on the "summertime mini goals" too. I am two pounds away from my July goal. My end of August or Labor Day goal is 60 pounds (7 pounds to get there). I think that is do-able.
My 7 year old weighs that much. What a visual for me, huh?

Jen and Jenniffer-you guys can do it!! I cant wait to see the 1's again. Seems like forever.

Count me in!
laura (lorelei)
July goal=258 (55 pounds)
Labor Day=253 (60 pounds)

Since I've failed my last few goals, I'm going to make this one nice and easy.

I want to weigh 252 by Labor Day. That's 14 lbs (per my last weigh in, which I think had about 6 lbs of water bloat). or 2 lbs a week, which I think is completely manageable.

LETS DO THIS!

Since I know, barring some kind of miracle, that I'll not make my birthday goal, I'll just carry that one on over...lol

I would like to lose 3 lbs a wk. Since I'm pretty much just starting out, it may be feasible. If not, than 2 lbs. At this point any number would be great. So I'll say I would like to lose between 14-21 lbs by then.

Just waiting for my "step" tapes to arrive from ebay and then I'll be a work out fool

I am shooting for 279 that's 14 pounds at two pounds a week which is doable if the body co-operates with me. I know I am shooting a little high but as I have added two hours of real exercise in the pool everyday I am hoping it will increase the ability to lose weight. I know I am adding muscle (badly needed)
which is heavier than fat but I am going for it anyway!

Hey everyone, I know we can do this. Everyone has set really manageable goals. Losing 1-3 lbs a week is something everyone can accomplish.

1. positive attitude
2. healthy diet
3. water, water and more water
4. exercise

that's all it takes. It is so simple really though somedays it feels harder than climbing Mount Everest.

Be strong.

I would love to take part in a Labor Day challenge... I think a realistic goal for me would be 14 pounds by Labor Day, or about 2 pounds a week.

Count me in for the Labor Day Challenge.

Since I am just really starting out -- I would like to take 14 lbs. off by Labor Day -- I think this is totally do-able.

Good Luck to all.

Well I am going to do this. I will lose 8-10 pounds by labor day. I started exercising even though it is not working to well yet.

OK OK I'm in. I'd sure like to see the 200's so my Labor Day goal is 299 which is 23 pounds, but for as much junk as I have been consuming I believe it is entirely doable!!!
