i was on 12-14 mugs a day using double heaped teaspoons of coffee per cup. i'd get really tired all the time and wouldn't be able to sleep unless i had a cup of coffee now that can't be good.

so there is no cutting down no mixing with decaff i've gone cold turkey just cut it out completely and switched to green tea.

well yesterday having felt like death all day i went to bed at about 1930. i woke up today at 0430. its now nearly 0600 and i feel much much better. i'll so how i survive this day but i'm feeling a million times better

Welcome back, Si! That's a serious amount of coffee you were on. No wonder you've been feeling the withdrawal! Here's hoping the worst is over for you.

Back!

Glad to hear you've been making some good choices!

Be careful about cutting the coffee thing out so fast! I've seen people end up in the hospital from withdrawals from that!

That's great news Si! You are almost in 200's - that's a fun milestone, I just hit it recently myself.

Welcome Back Si!

Getting off caffiene was terrible for me lst year when I tried the cold turkey. I really had to wean mself off of it when I tried it again last year. (I keep going back to it....yuck...mainly for the school year and then in the summers I am off.) Slowly worked much better for me. The cold turkey method had me in bed by 4:30 in the afternoon because my headached so badly.....hope you get over it all soon.

Never liked coffee, but I did have a sugar adiction. I felt so bad getting off of it, but so much better now! Good for you for taking care of yourself. Congratulations!!!!!
