  • The mirror and the scale
  • Health Issues.....so far so good but it was only a matter of time before my weight brought on high blood pressure, diabetes etc. I have teenagers and would like to stick around to see them graduate from college, marry, have children etc.

    Congrats on reaching a goal.....
  • Wow !!!!! Girlfriend I am sooooooo proud of you ! YIPEEEEE!
My modivation is of course health issues but also how I feel about what I presenting to the world. What I am saying about myself with my appearance. I am giving an impression to all I meet that is contrary to who and what I am beneath the weight.

I must admit I have never been one to concern myself with what people think as everyone has an opinion usually incorrect to a large degree and in short time the opinions are usually quite good. I love people and they respond. It is natural when sincere.

BUT..... what I am saying about myself is where the problem lies. I want to present the person I really am just once in my life. To express myself freely without weight worry. To do and be just as I am and look the part.

  • Great thread...and congrats to all of you for your losses!

    Hunkydori..Truly amazing!!!!

    What motivated me...

    Health reasons
    Clothes
    Pictures
All of the succesful stories I've witnessed here.
Tired of hating what I see in the mirror.
  • I want to be the person I am on the inside. My biggest motivator is wanting to live life as I dream of it, and that's a thin person.
  • I guess I can answer my own question!!! *wink* I've just been SOOOOOOOO Busy lately.

My biggest motivators: My husband, who is being SO supportive through this thing!!!!

The fact that all the new clothes I bought a month ago are too big!!! I love sneaking into smaller clothes!!

Summertime... I want to be able to proudly wear tanktops and show off my tattoo (on shoulder!)
