You know though, they don't understand the sizes vs. weight, so it's OK.

I'll tell anyone who asks. Just a number. What gets me is when I hear people telling each other what THEY weigh. "Oh, I weigh about 140." Jeez, yeah, you do. On your driver's license! I can't guess someone's weight like they do at the fair, but I can tell within 50 pounds or so and there are lots of people in this world who think they're thin because they haven't stepped foot on a scale in 10 or 20 years!

People have strange ideas of fat, too. I have friends who don't believe I'm still obese on the BMI chart. That's because they don't want to believe they're overweight. Everything is relative, isn't it?

No, I don't tell folks how much I weigh. Really, no one ever asks - now that I think of it. No one except people in the medical field.

That's unacceptable for a doctor OR a nurse in my opinion.

Just curious though, why is it you feel the nurse has "no business" giving any feedback? Clearly, what she said and the context in which it was said was inappropriate for ANYONE to say, but are you saying that a nurse shouldn't provide any feedback because she isn't a doctor?
