I have a couple dozen of her videos. I love each and every one of them. Check out yard sales, check out the library when they sell videos. Amazon has great deals on them too. I bet all together I haven't spent but maybe 4 dollars a piece all together. I got one at a yard sale for a dollar lol. Only do one mile of the video you will work yourself up to more as time goes on. When I started doing the videos I couldn't do the 1 mile without hitting pause a few times. I was sick at the time but still lol. Now I do the 3 miles a couple of times a day. I love how lively she is. She is the same age I am. I have a lot of work to do to look like her lol. I happen to like her chatty giggly personality. She seems real. None of her videos look as if someone said cut, lets do that part over. She also has some great toning vidoes.

Another way to make a treadmill workout fun-has anyone tried Cardio Coach cds? They are guided audio workouts. The instructor, Sean O'Malley is SO motivating. He instructs you when to increase your speed for sprints, (you don't have to run, you can walk quickly) or the incline to do hills. The cds are adaptable to treadmills or bikes. I use them with my recumbent bike, and the time flies by. His website is www.cardiocoach.com

I can tell I overdid it, I was using 5 lb weights and my shoulder blades are killing me now. I guess I think I'm still in the shape I was in in my 20s, I must be insane

Paula,

I read somewhere (sorry, can't remember the source) that the maximum weight you should hold while walking is 2-3 lbs so you do not injure your shoulders. I hope you feel better!

Take care,
Sherry

Thanks for the giggle! I LOVE her dvd's! I just ordered some new ones so I have some to mix it up. It took me a while to work up to the 5lb weights and when I miss some time doing the dvd's I'll drop back to the 3lbs weights that I have.

It's best to ease into it and work up slowly. Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks, and I think I will do the weights separately, not during the tape!

My SIL loves her tapes and such.

Isn't it funny how we sometimes just think that something is a certain way. It happened to me. Near Cincinatti there is an amuzement park called King's Island. All my life I thought it was "on an island" for some reason. I was shocked to find out it's just on a plot of land in the city. Oh well...live and learn and laugh.
