Default 12 Week Challenge -- Week 7 -- Jan. 21 - 27th

Hey there Challengettes -

Well I fell off the OP Wagon so maybe this should be about Fresh Starts. Definitely don't feel too noble today. I even fought getting out of bed to exercise.

Yes I let stress and professional challenges get the better of me and my eating habits.

Anyone up for posting here re: what challenge(s) may be coming up for you and suggesting ways to plan / deal with it from an OP POV???

Patch

Hi Patch! I think we've all hit some potholes in our journey and no matter how much we plan we hit them full force. The beauty part of the program is that we can get right back on the road, dust ourselves off and continue on

Super Bowl weekend will be a bit of a challenge as
I have a banquet (Saturday night) and then on Sunday I'll be working a raffle where we'll be cooking pizza & hotdogs. I'll need to plan ahead. I'll find out what the menu is for the banquet and then decide what I'm going to eat. Generally what I've done in the past when faced with a buffet is to check out what is being served and then decide if it's worth it to have point-wise. I'll also try and bank points. I really want to work towards being in my "comfort zone" by February 11th so it's down to "brass tacks" as my WW buddy says. I have 3# to get to where I want to be and I don't want to take the scenic route. So, part of my plan will be to increase my walking and be diligent about my journal and portion sizes. These are all things that I can do.

Patch, you are not alone (how cliche). Fresh Starts!!!!! Lately, I have felt that I have to approach every single day like a fresh start. If I don't do this I'm not sure what would happen.

One year ago today I joined WW. Once year ago.........wow. On one hand I'm so happy and proud of what I've accomplished but on the other hand I deal with demons. All my friends and family and coworkers think it's great what I have accomplished but now that I have been maintaining for 5 months they don't realize what hard work it is to stay this way. They think my struggle is over. It will never be over.

All right........nuff of that......I'm tired, overworked and to top it off it's -30 degrees outside and I despise winter.

Numbers from last week: (please note I do not subtract points for exercise)

Monday 25 (35 min. run)
Tuesday 26 (30 min. run)
Wednesday 23 (25 min. run)
Thursday 27 (no exercise)
Friday 28 (no excercise)
Saturday 40 (pass the chocolate please!)
Sunday 23 (25 min. run)

Just back from my WI. I stayed the same, which is fine. I really munched a bit that I really didn't write down. Time to get more serious and write everything down before a maintain turns into a gain.

Here is my week, at least for what I did write down.

Range: 18-23

Thurs 21
Fri 22
Sat 22
Sun 23
Mon 25
Tue 21
Wed (est) 20

Default Hey There

I am sorta new here and I hope you will let me join your little group.. I am Lifetime WW and as some I am trying hard to stay on goal and hopefully drop below. I am faithful with my walking. I walk at least 3 miles a day and sometimes more. I think I am a little older than most of you .(68)I really feel that should not be a problem with me doing better. I have a problem getting sidetracted in the evening. T.V. has too many tempting things to make me think about what is in the kitchen. But that is not just my problem is it. I think many people have the same thing. I am getting boring so I will say bye for now..

Hey there Joanne - so good to "see" ya. Welcome!

These Lifetime/Maintenance Threads really have been a G-dsend.

Today I so wanted to go off program and couldn't wait to get home to snack... but just the act of logging on and seeing all these wonderful gals "clicking in" at least has stopped me from unconsciously (or is it defiantly???) lapsing into munching. Evenings are tough - I should buy stock in the 94% FF popcorn brands!

This week so far....

M - 30 guessing
Tu - 24
W - 31 - 2 activity = 29 -
Th - 25 --- earned 3 activity today
Fr -- 38 - 6 = 32 -- used above 3 and today's add'l 3 pts
Sa -- 42 - 12 racewalking and skiing activity pts = 30
Su -- earned 1 act. pt today shopping

Myra: I stayed the same as well...I can deal with that, it's better than a gain!

Patch: Checking in here really helps to keep me on track; last evening I was on checking things out and the urge to eat passed. This has been such a help to me as well. Evenings are tough for me too, I tend to unwind and let my resolve fall by the wayside.

Joanne: Welcome to the group! It's definitely a challenge to stay at goal. I've been trying to get a few off to get into my "comfort zone" as well.

[b]Kena:[b] Congratulations on your anniversary (joining). I joined 3 years ago on January 20th. Maintenance is a definite challenge. The losing part was easy because you were always able to see results, staying around your goal weight seems to be more of challenge.

Here's the breakdown for the past week:

Thurs: 18
Fri: 19
Sat: 36
Sun: 23
Mon: 22
Tues: 21
Wed: 22.5

Stayed the same this week: 143.2

Default Hey

Hello You All.. I have been trying to save a few points each day.Yesterday I had a small success. I hope that the weekend will not be a downhill slide. It is strange how after 3 years on life time I still have not won the battle to stay below goal. I keep slipping over. I think the urge to eat more than I should and new habits should get fixed in my mind sometime. I will keep trying though. I guess that is what counts. Coming to these sites and getting ideas help a lot . It does keep me aware of the problem I have with food. ...Joanne
