Default Protein Shakes

When is the best time to have a protein shake - after your workout, before, anytime?? I have read so many things I don't know what to believe anymore so thought I would ask the pros

I always though after workout is best. You want to use that protein to rebuild your muscle rather than fuel your workout.

Thanks Robert! I just read an article that says that you should eat something with protein within an hour of your workout.
