I might have been down 40-50 pounds before I needed new pants. I feel like the more weight you have to lose, the longer it takes to get down to the next size. I also have lost the majority of my weight from my mid section so my thighs are still pretty thick. I've gone from a 2x top to a M but my pants are taking a lot longer to come down. Gotta love being pear shaped...
