The first time I went shopping for new clothes. I said to the saleslady, "I'm such and such a size". She glanced at me and said "no, you're not, you're smaller than that." She lead me over to a rack of clothes that was a size I previously thought was unattainable. I told her, "there's no way I fit into this size." She shook her head and said, "Honey, I've been doing this along time and you are this size." I proceeded to pick out a few things and went into the dressing room and was floored when they slipped right on. That was a defining moment for me. I had the very visible proof that I'd lost weight, it wasn't a figment of my imagination, lol.
