Cheryl, don't know if it will work for you, but some people find relief in sticking their head inside of a freezer for a few minutes. We keep prescription nose spray and inhalers around here all of the time. Oh, the joys!

I'll bet the freezer would work for me, because I've noticed that when I'm having one, if I turn the AC down to about 68-70, it relieves the symptoms quite a bit. I just tried my 1st nose spray last Thurs. nite. I was on vacation and it was all I had (I've always bee afraid to try one, b/c I hear they're really addictive). It was GREAT!! My nose was slightly sore on Friday, but I stayed completely clear until Sunday morning!!

(Sorry to all the Floozies for the non-weight-loss-related posts!!)

Speaking of non weight related things, my DH just came home with 6 more chickens!! Now we have 1 rooster and 6 chickens. We he left home, he was headed for food only. So now in my bird room I have 7 baby chicks, 1 cockatoo, 1 cockatiel, 1 hawkheaded parrot, and 1 blue front amazon parrot. My birds think we have gone out of our minds!! We will be building a chicken coop sometime this summer.

Carol-Any chicken tips will be greatly appreciated!

I can't remember who else has them, but if you do, let me know!

Shelley: We use to have chickens out on the farm. They are soooo cute when their little!!! I would just get attached...then it would be butchering day. I bet you are having fun keeping the little guys clean!

Cheryl: My 4 year old has to take the nose spray once a day. I tried slacking off about one week ago...the next day she was right back with the same old stuff. So, we are back to the one shot a day. I bet exercising is hard for you.

HELP!!!!!! WHAAAAAAAA!!!! NOT STAYING OP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm back on tomorrow though. I will never lose at this rate. One day on, four days off!!! SEND me some WILLPOWER and MOTIVATION!!!!!!!!

Shelley: I still have problems eating chicken to this day because of awful childhood memories of butchering day!!! I refuse to be involved in any of that stuff. In my opinion, one of the worse smells in the world is the smell of wet, hot bird feathers when we had to dip the chickens in scalding water so we could pluck them. Steve wants to go fishing...I said fine...you do all of the cleaning of the fish etc! Did I gross you out today???? SORRY!!!

Question: At what age did you start running? Also, you posted it before but I can't remember. You mentioned that you would walk then run only like 30 seconds at a time? Can you post this info again? THANKS!!!

Where's the rest of the crew?????

Sherry-Tried to catch you last night on IM, but your away message was on! Hope you are feeling better. Not good to be sick on vacation!

Gayle-GROSS!!!

I have been running for approx. 4 or 5 years, so I guess I was around 44 or 45 when I started. I started out walking 5 min, then running 30 sec--doing this for about 20 min. Gradually, just start walking less and running more. Increase the running weekly. Don't do it too quick, or it will burn you out. Go over to www.runnersworld.com, and they have the program over there. I think you might have to click somewhere on newrunner. Also a great webpage is www.coolrunning.com. I log all my runs on both boards. I've gone 598 miles this year!! Not bad for an old hag!

I am going to try and clean something today, even if it's just the dog!

I didn't realize that ashma could be affected by weight. Dez and I both have ashma. I had a bad ashma attack in Jamaica because of the spraying of the mosquitos. We don't have the nasal spray that you girls are talking about. I am only using ventolin. It sometimes affect my heart rate though.

Sherry poor you, you are STUCK at losing 20 pounds!!!!! That is a huge achievement don't be little it. You have done well. You are just at a plateau. Sometimes boosting up the exercise at the plateau helps or changing some of your foood choices. I am just trying out this 3 day diet a friend gave me. It isn't one you should stick on but helps with those plateaus. I will post it later. Hope that you are feeling better.

Shelley how much land do you have if you have chickens? Are you right in the city? My mom and dad have raised chickens since forever.

Mom has 2 more radiation treatments. She will be done tomorrow. She has done pretty good with it. Just on friday she started getting the blisters. They are small and not to painful. She has a bit of burning that will increase these last few treatments but she will be ok. After this she is all done! Yipee!!! She is still having problems with regulating her blood but is suppose to be referred to a specialist soon.

I haven't gone for my TB test yet because I haven't been feeling well enough. Today I will try to go.

Hope that you all have an on program day!
