Sher-bear; Hope your feeling better. How's the hernia? Could this be part of the problem?

Dee: Good luck on the diet! I've heard of it, but it's actually one I haven't tried yet!!!

Busy today, trying to stay OP since Shelley sent me some motivation!

BTW: I'm the self tanner gal. Actually, I tan pretty easily, but I just never lay out to tan. Most of my "roasting" comes from yard work etc.

I'm the one who avoids the sun now. I used to bake myself, but I don't want more wrinkles! I wear a baseball cap when I run.

Dee-We only have 1 1/2 acres. My chickens right now are small and in my bird room. We are building a coop in the back. We live in the outskirts of the city. But you have to remember, Ft Myers is a VERY small city! I am so glad to hear your mom is getting better! I have never heard of blisters with chemo though.

Sher: I forgot to post to you about your weight. Don't stress. Your body is probably playing catchup from the weight you have lost. Give it a week or two and I bet your up and losing again!

Dee: The Docs probably gave your mom some cream for the blisters. If not, try a small amount of some aloe vera gel for relief.

Gayle - Hubby grew up with rabbits and chickens. He says there's no smell like the smell of hot, wet chicken feathers!

All.....I went to the doc today for a physical....haven't had one in about 10 years and had been three years since my last "girl" visit. Overall, I'm in pretty good health. Good blood pressure, cholesterol is 182 and good cholestorol is 59....of course, he wants me to lose some weight (duh!) but he didn't harp on it. He also wanted me to get a baseline mammogram, but my insurance won't pay for a baseline until age 40 unless there's a family history of breast cancer.

Hi Girls

I'm into some deep cleaning, but I'm taking too many breaks...lol. What's the old saying, if you keep something for a year and don't use it...throw it out!! I also have been going through alot of clothes, all difference sizes. If and when I get down to a size 14, I'm sure I will want all new clothes. So why keep these clothes I have had for years.

Dee....Hope you are feeling better. Did the doctor ever say what was wrong with you or is he waiting for all the test results? Your Mom is in my thoughts and prayers.

Gayle....One day on and 4 off. I had to laugh when I read that because it sounds so much like me. I keep waiting for something to "click" and I can see how fat I really am...LOL.

Sherry.....I'm excited...11 more days!! I have faced the fact that I can't lose 50 pounds before we leave....LOL. But I am still smaller than last year. Maybe if I lose a few pounds each year, by the time I'm 75 I will be skinny on vacation.... Whatever size we are, we always have a blast!!

Shelley....I guess I'm the only person in the world that doesn't like fresh eggs. My Grannymom used to raise chickens and they were so tame. They would fly forward you when you came around, thinking you had something for them to eat. I'm not afraid of them anymore, but whenever I see chickens I think about that.

Carol....How are you doing? I dont worry so much about you anymore, because I know you are doing great. Post when you have time.

Jeanne....You are almost out of here!! I know you are excited. Will it just be the two of you or are you going with another couple?

Jennelle....I'm glad your check-up was good. Don't you just love those girl visits...NOT!!

Thinking of you...Ramona, Doni, Vicki, Titan, and Cheryl.

Sherry asked me yesterday why I didn't post on the challenge thread this week. The reason is... I gained 1 pound last week and I've been so depressed about it I thought I was doing everything right , so I don't understand. I feel better today about things. I've started writing everything down, food intake, water and excerise. I am determined ONCE again!!

Back to my cleaning....deb

Shelley are city has a bi-law that you can not have chickens unless you have 5 acres and live out of town. Fresh eggs are great. I get them from mom every week. Mom has her blisters from radiation.

Sherry did you post how your test results from your lump? Any news?

Debbie don't worry about the weight gain. It might be from that TOM. If not just keep on working at it.

Jennelle glad that everything was fine when you went for your physical. You really should go more often though.

Gayle what brand of self tanner do you use? The doctor told mom only to use cornstarch on her blisters.

I went for my TB test this afternoon. I will need to go back again thursday and then in two weeks again.

Well time to get something done. Have a good one everyone.

Dee: Tried several and am currently using Tan Perfect. I can get it at a Sally Beauty supply, plus get my Cosmetologist discount. It goes on super dark so you have an instant tan. Washes off the next time you shower leaving a natural looking tan. I put it on at night, then shower in the A.M.
I was going to mention the corn starch, but I figured you would think I was goofy! Your Mom did pretty good if she never blistered up until this point.

Deb: I feel like you! Sometimes I wonder what it's going to take for me to stay OP! I remember posting one time that I couldn't even remember the last time I cheated...now, I hardly can't remember the last time I stayed OP! I'm in my fat clothes and feel like a whale, but that doesn't seem to stop me from shoveling more food in my mouth! Ok, enough whining from me.

Jennelle: Glad to hear the Doc visit went well. I have procrastinated 4 years now... I'm a firm believer that Doctors are for those that are sick. I feel perfectly fine! I dread the "girl" visits!

CALLING ALL MISSING IN ACTIONS!!!!!!!!!!! MIA'S get your little booties back here and post!

OKAY, OKAY, OKAY. Here I am!!!

Boy, if I don't post for a couple of days you all come looking for me!!!

Alright now, it seems like some of you gals need a pep talk. Debbie; Gayle; Sherry...... You all know who you are!! You can do this and you will do this. I insist on it!!!

Seriously.. You all know how I struggled to get OP for more than a day or two. I struggled for more than just a couple of months. Now, I just have my fingers crossed that I stay there this time since I finally have clicked.

Sherry: Don't you dare fall OP just because the scales seem to have stopped moving. Just throw those scales out and keep on doing what you have been doing. It will pay off for you. Just hang in there.

Now if giving you all a good "talking to" didn't do the trick to give you motivation.... Here is a big hug to give you support.

I know you gals can get back OP. After all, your the ones who gave me motivation!!!

I have days when I don't eat exactly like I should, but so far I have not let it detour me from my goal!! I have faith you ladies will do the same.

Gotta run for now. But love you all.
Hugs
Carol

Hi everybody,
Well we are just 4 days away from the big trip! I got myself two new bathing suits--a one piece and a tankini (with Hawaiian print). Our big decision is what luau do we want to go to and what boat do we want to take to Molokini crater for snorkeling!!! I can't wait. This is actually a family vacation--our kids, 10 and 6 are just as excited as we are...they should be, how many kids get to go to Hawaii (I know I didn't!).

Jeanne-I'm so excited for you!! Try to post some pix when you get back!

Sherry-I haven't been posting at the challenge board, either. I have been up a couple of lbs.

Carol-Glad to hear you are doing well!

Gayle-Does the tan stuff make you feel sticky? I've only remember using it years ago and turning orange and sticky!

Debbie-I know you both will have a wonderful time here in Fl. I wish I could come see you both.

Jennelle-Good for you, going to your physical. I was supposed to have a mammogram a couple of months ago, but I haven't made the appt. I dread any kind of physical appts.!! I haven't had a mammogram in about 3 years. I'm bad!

Jeanne have a wonderful trip. I heard the snorkeling is great. I love to snorkel. When do you get back? Enjoy enjoy enjoy ! Don't come back sick like me!

Carol I am glad that you posted. Keep up the motivation here, you are doing a job. It is so nice to see that you are motivated. What is it that it just doesn't work sometime and then there is no stopping us? I got to get that formula and sell it!

Shelley please go for that mammogram. You are a knotty girl. I am going to have to fly down there and take you myself.

Gayle I am going to have to see if we have Perfect Tan. I could use some on the winter days. You too need to go to the doc for a check up. After I am done with Shelley we are both coming over there to haul you in.

Time for my walk. I still fell crappy. I have a fever and my lungs are bubbling. Oh boy well off I go. Have a good day everyone!
