OK.....technically it's not Friday yet.
But tomorrow & tonite are wicked thunderstorms & tornado watches.
I want to get up early & see if I can get to the store before the morning storm.
The meetings were endless. I thought I was going to die.
It was so cold in there my nose froze.
I spent the entire day alone so I shouldn't complain.
It was a TRULY quiet and relaxing day and I needed it.
I think my BP was up too this week.
But I am feeling great tonite.

Woke up to power thunderstorms. We need the rain. And I'm not at work so all is good. And after this rain the temperature is supposed to be back down into the 80's.
A lot of people think that my job is not as physical as it is. My older sibling thinks all I do is sit in a chair for 12 hours. I wish that were true. This is one of the reasons why I'm going to talk to my sis in MO to see what she recommends. And then talk to my bosses to see if they will work with me through out the remaining 2 years.

Good morning/afternoon/evening ladies -

It's still Friday morning here. I had a doctor appointment...and new patient appointments always take longer. This one took 1.5 hours, but since I was the first patient very little of that time was waiting, so that's good. I went over my meds with the medical technician, talked with the physician's assistant at length about my diabetes and my back, and then met the doctor briefly. She seems very nice.

My nephew is coming over to have lunch with my step-mom, step-brother and me.

After work, Santa and I have obedience training...which is going ok except that Santa is easily distracted. I wonder if he has doggie ADD. LOL

We're supposed to go on some doggie meetups this weekend, but that will depend on the weather. It's supposed to be very hot (in the mid 90s) today through Monday.

Mel - bummer the meetings ran on so long. I hope you get to relax a bit today and this weekend. Maybe the rain storms will keep everyone quiet. I hope you don't get any severe weather.

St. Louis bound tonight. DS and DDIL cannot go. Her momma is in the hospital looking at surgery for obstructed bowel. So it will be just me, Sis, Chris, lil man, and Sassy roo. Thank you for all the get wells, I do feel better today. Thank God cause it is about a 4 hour drive.

Not doing personals as I am trying to get out of here by 3 to get a head start on traffic.

Evening girls. Lazy day today. Some AM TV & reading early, then a mani & pedi late morning.

Last night I was planning on jazzercise, but once again metra messed up my plans - switch malfunction. Got home close to 7:30. Grrr. What a crappy commuting week!! Watched tv & read.

Considered the 9:15 am jazz. Class this morning, but thought traffic might be a bear into the city, & the class location is a bit further than the ones I usually go to on m-thu-sat.

After my nail appt I popped over to the thrift shop. Bought a workout shirt & 5 paperbacks.

bf & I had lunch & stopped at walmart for a few things. I've got the charity event tonight, but it was announced that due to weather concerns & the field conditions it will be held indoors instead. Sorry if I already mentioned that. I'm disappointed - last year some severe weather drove us indoors as well, so I know it'll not be as nice as being outdoors. I was looking fwd to doing some walking...

Tomorrow I fully intend to get to jazzercise class!! Book club is in the pm. Still don't know what to bring!!

I cannot believe it is almost July 1st.
The summer is flying by for me.
I am on my way to the office to wait for the mail pick up man.
Didn't "we" throw the outgoing rent checks into the box for pick up before the money was in the bank?!
I am sure the mail carrier is going to be so pleased to pick a hundred or so checks out of the pile.
Nothing else is on the agenda for me this weekend.

Richie will bring the girls home this weekend. Rain is forecast for the entire week on & off.
Nothing to do up there but listen to the rain on a tin roof c

The yard was dry enough to mow late yesterday afternoon. It was still hot but there was some breeze blowing. Clouds were coming in from the North. I'm getting better at this. I can mow for 15 minutes at a whack now with out my heart pounding out of my chest. And no it's not cause of the heat. I'm extremely out of shape.

Ceejay - Enjoy your weekend with family and friends. Yes, I took a vacation day yesterday. I have to make sure I don't wind up with too many to take at year's end. Good for you getting more stamina mowing - a combo of getting more physically conditioned and adjusting to the heat.

Mel - It's good to have nothing to do! I sure do hope there's no commute snafus next week - it's so frustrating.

The Relay was nice enough yesterday. It was in the gym. Thank goodness it wasn't hot out, so it wasn't too hot inside. I did take a break from the busyness inside to go outside and walk around the outside of the football stadium (the stadium was closed off) - there's a roadway that goes around the entire thing. It was a beautiful evening and I wished I could stay outside and walk a few more laps around the stadium. However, it was just about sunset and I didn't have my sneakers on, so I went back inside. I stayed until the lighting of the luminaria and the accompanying ceremony were done, about 11-ish. It was nice seeing my sis, BIL, SIL and her sis and the other teammates. I entered our team's raffle - they had several prizes - and I won a $25 Lou Malnati's gift card!

I was up pretty late, and it was tough to get up this morning, but I had the alarm set to help me. I made a smoothie for bf & I, fed doggy, and went off to Jazzercise class. Glad I finally got a class in. Good and sweaty. Next week they will turn the AC on!!! I was wondering when!

Waiting for my chickpeas to bake - I'm trying out a recipe for chili-lime roasted chickpeas. If they're good, I'll make another batch and take one to book club tonight.

I think my laundry is done, time to go put it in the dryer. TTFN!!

quick check in for me.....I got up early, went to my storage place to get a few things out, including my bathing suit...so I can cool off in my step-mom's pool and also take Aqua Aerobics at the gym. Then I took Santa to the dog park from 8 am to 10 am, and I'll do the same tomorrow so we're back home before it gets super hot.

Now I'm going to spend the rest of the day trying to stay cool....the pool should help.

Nearly time to go home. Having great difficulty getting any of my mail or onto facebook on my sisters computer. However today it did give me this site so hear I am. Go home tomorrow (Monday) and will be back in the swing of things on Monday evening so everything will be back to normal and I will catch you up on my doings then. Meantime have fun. There is no chance of me moving between pages, the whole system goes ape then.
