Please elaborate on shoulder, Kiwi.
Yes, the internet is boring, Sugar. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all go to Bunco together?

I'm here, I'm fat, and I have a cow tea-kettle. A tea-cattle!

I'm starting a new diet in addition to the pointy thing (my fat self is eating 22-27 ppd.) I'm going to eat brown rice, veggies, and chicken or fish for lunch and dinner 6 days a week! That'll work!

Cherry, you're doing well....177 down from 191 is good. I agree about the food choices. It isn't just how much we eat, it's what we eat, too. I do so much better if I limit my carbs to brown rice...a la the Peachbutt plan.
It is DS12/13's birthday. I have a lot to do. I have already visited my mom, gone to bulges, gone to the food store and to the post office. Aren't I a wonder?
Now I'm going to put his cake together then watch Law and Order to take a rest. He is getting an electric guitar.
I also plan to spend part of the day cleaning, too.
Somebody come around and keep me company. Like Wabby, how was Bunco? Where's Sugar...she should have posted by now. L

The shoulder pain is just like yours, I expect, Lush. Just too much surfing. Wow, I can't believe you've got a teenaged son now!!

I'm going to go make little meatballs for dinner. No brown rice.

This is unbelievable: Go read this

DH and I just screamed at each other for 15 minutes about how to set up some thing on the computer. We're over it now--only because I refused to let him get away with "fine, I'll just do it your way (and pi** and moan about it while I do it)". Tough love.
<-- That's us.

Kiwi! I loved the jelly fish story!

Hey cowsies, we'd have so much fun if we had a bunco night! I had a blast with my 3d friends, and I actually won the boobie prize, which means I came home with $7 in my pocket (of course it cost me $7 to play, but that's beside the point. ) My friend made homemade lowfat corn chowder (she's on WW) and sub sandwiches, and we finished it off with pie ala mode. But the best part is I laughed and laughed and had sooo much fun. I only meant it's pathetic that I look so forward to bunco because I should be having a blast more often than once a month.

2 of my 3d friends have twisted my arm into starting WW with them on weds. night. I have 2 more days to eat!!! Oh well, these are 2 very good friends so we can suffer together, it will be less painful that way.

Kiwi, I'm so glad you had a good day in the big city, and you got to have some fun. Wasn't Chicago the best? I loved that movie. I watched About a Boy on video yesterday - very good movie, even though Hugh Grant is just not my favorite actor, I'm still holding a grudge for humiliating poor little Elizabeth Hurley

Bagzie, of course you hate WW's. It's a boring tedious thing to count points for every little morsel you pop in your mouth. Much more fun to go out to lunch and never think of calories or fat grams, but eventually we won't be able to sit in those cute little chairs at the most fashionable cafes. We will have to frequent the restaurants with the booths with the vinyl seats that our chubby thighs will stick to in the hot summer weather. Eventually we'll be ashamed to shovel food into ourselves in public, and will have to frequent the drive up windows of fast food restaurants, rush home with our big macs and biggie fries and eat all by ourselves. Do you see where this is all leading???? Yes! bed ridden, sending our loved ones out for our fixes of Double Whoppers with onion rings, an oreo pie and large chocolate shake. Whattaya think? you going to count points???? And don't ask me how I got the motivation, because I just don't have a clue now. And look how fast I gained it back.

I don't know if I'm more jealous of the Peaches claim of weight loss of her claim of firmness. The only firm part of my body is the very top of my head.

Cherry, you can be proud of yourself. You're so dedicated.

Thanks for the list, Lush.

Hey you homewrecker, Sugar P, get back over her and post!! What does Stevie have that we don't????

yeah, Kiwi...what I really want to know is if you went to the dr and what he told you to do. I am too lazy to go to the dr.
Wabby, that is so machure to realize that WW is boring but we have to do it anyway. Bagzie, it is very un-machure to think that it will be fun to starve yourself. Here is the awful truth. We're still going to be old after we're thin. Gawd...shoot me.
I have the sounds of a Fender Strat wailing through my house instead of a gentle acoustic guitar. This may have been a mistake.
I made a cake that no one is eating...I purposely made it chocolate so that I wouldn't be tempted. However, I do have Healthy Choice Mint Chocolate Chip in the fridge.
I'm a bore. I feel Peaches should post. I feel she should stalk Dabrat for my entertainment.
Sugar's kind of a bad girl, isn't she?

I am not stalking anyone. Sugar is a good girl. Well, no, Sugar is bad. That "Oy" email was just bad.

Tonight was awards night at ds's school. He got awards for outstanding performance in algebra II, honors English I, performance on the FCAT (standardized thing) and World History. He hasn't taken World History. Pretty impressive, I think, to have done so well in a class you didn't take yet.

Woo!

My weigh-in was 178 (so I'll just leave my sig at 177), but my waist was DOWN 1 inch and my hips were DOWN half an inch. Yay!

Wabby, you'll be a WW success story! Everyone at my work is on WW and it's working for them. I'd rather use the money for workout tapes (if I had money) so I'm sort of vicariously playing along. One girl has lost a lot of weight... she's probably gone from 26 or higher to about size 20, and she's still losing. My coworker is in size 12 from size 16.

My points for the day: 34. Allowed 22-27, with 3 points for today's workout. So, I was 4 points over.

I would go to WW if somebody dragged me there. That's the only way I'd go. Fortunately I have no more friends here in my town.

Yep, Chicago was a blast! Did you know that About A Boy is by the same author as High Fidelity and another book I've been informed I cannot speak about for reasons not quite clear?

Good lord, Wabbit, this is very alarming but you're making my mouth water! Stop that!

Lush, you know I never go to the doctor. Actually I made an appt. for a physical for a couple of weeks from now. I fully expect to have to cancel it, though, because my sis is going to calve and I'll have to hop in the car and go catch my little niece. It's only about a 25 hour drive, do you think I'll make it in time? Anyway, if I ever get to a doctor's appt, I will in fact ask him about this shoulder, but I know it is either tendonitis or bursitis or they'll call it repetitive stress injury, which amounts to the same thing. And I would not be surprised to hear something along the lines of "if it hurts when you do that, don't do that". That's why I don't go to doctors. I have a problem with paying good money for such wisdom.

Just got the insurance statement from my retinal specialist visit (the first one). Horribly, I met the individual yearly deductible of $1000 with more to spare. Some of it wasn't covered because the fee was too high! And I just went to this deluxe place again the other day. Good grief! Why don't doctor's offices give you a price list? Would you buy a car without knowing how much it cost? I don't buy a candy bar without how much it costs!

Oh ****'s Bells.

Oh by the way, Lush, your mistake was not in giving DS the electric guitar. It was in giving him an amp.

Congrats to the Peachboy! Leave it to him to do well in classes he doesn't even take. He could probably do well in the whole high school curriculum without taking it.

I am all finished messaging now and would like to apologize profusely for the "Oy" e mail. It was just the first thing that came into my head. What I *really* meant to say was:

"Oh, Most Treasured One, we who adore you respect and support any decision you choose to make, knowing in our hearts that you are guided by the wisdom and intuition of the ages."

Or something along those lines

The jellyfish story was a scream! That poor guy.

Possibly because I'm only half-way through reading it and you wouldn't want to spoil it for me?

No. That can't be possible.

At bunco the other night one of my friends said something about me being the older sister. Well let me tell you, I set her straight. Both my sisters play bunco and one of them is 6 years older than me. I'm the MIDDLE sister!!!!! Maybe it's because my older sister isn't fat. My friend backpedaled and said it's because I just seem to be the older sister because I'm so responsible. Which didn't make me feel any better. I'm sick of being responsible. Just once it would be nice to be known as the wild and crazy one.

One of the guys here discovered that those chocolate oranges are on sale at the Grocery Outlet store here for a buck apiece. I swear he bought a bushel and they're all sitting here in my office. How can I be good with candy everywhere??? We all know the answer to that. I can't.
