Tap Dancing Tuesday

  • Will you have me back??
    Hi everyone -

Don't know if you remember me posting a while ago, but I'm baaacckkk ...

Seems like there are a lot of familiar names here which is good!

I'm trying to find what will work for me - and I thought of you guys.

I'm going to get on the treadmill now, and clear my thoughts.
I'm striving for an OP day today, keeping my goals in mind.

    TTYL.

  • If I knew how to tap dance, I would so be doing it today. My little no point counting experiment worked! Last night I weighed in at the exact same weight I did the week before last. Woo-hoo!!! No point counting, no journaling and I maintained for nearly 2 weeks. I've never been able to do that before. CB and I talked and I'm going to buy another package and see if I can hit the 135 which is the top of my weight range and maintain that. Then I can go to WW but quit paying.

Hi Lexxy. Glad that you are back.

Belle - probably no engagement ring for me. I don't want one. I was actually trying on wedding bands. I'm fairly sure though that you will be married long before me. We've been discussing January 2005.

Kierie - We saw Matrix Revolution the day it opened. I didn't much care for it either. Hope this week is calmer than your weekend.

Angie - good for you planning like you have been. Have you decided on a challenge goal yet?

Becky - Wanna work-out tomorrow morning? I did 4 miles today but tomorrow is an ST/XT day which I don't like as much 'cuz I can't read while I do it.

Jayne - I'm holding you to the calcium/veggie/fruit thing. Too bad we didn't live closer together, then we could reward ourselves with a spa day together - how much fun would that be?

Tonya - if you are lurking, check in and let us know how you and the baby are.
  • Hi GIrls!

DEB!!!!!!!! How have you been? How is Jeremy? I've been thinking about you and I'm so glad you're back here with us...I've missed you! Still a student sidelining in the catering business? Update, please!!

Morning Laura, you cardio fool, you! I'm so glad your experiment worked out. Tell me what you mean by buying another package -- I'm kind of confused. Maybe it's some kind of code I don't' know? Maybe pregnesia and I really do know? That would rock to do a spa day together -- someday we will have to have a 20's and 30's get-together at a spa, I think. How much fun would that be?

Well this is my busy day coming up, the one where I am teaching classes from 8:00 am straight through until 3:30, then I gdo my 30 minute drive to my own class immediately following (for my Early Childhood Master's) until 7:50. At which point I drive the thrity minutes home to pick up Aaron from his looooong day and come home and we both go straight to bed. *sigh* Well, I guess I'm done feeling sorry for myself, now I'm going to go have a great day.

Can I just make a quick little remark about how positive and supportive we've all been here lately? It makes it such a pleasure to come and post when we are all positive and supportive -- thanks for that, my friends!
  • Deb - welcome back! How far did you go on the treadmill?

Jayne - I nearly spit my diet coke out - pregnesia!!! Too funny! Around here WW gives you the choice of paying by the week or buying a package of pre-paid sessions. It is slightly cheaper per week if you buy a package then if you pay each week. Hope you and Aaron don't end up too tired out after such a long day.
  • Good morning!

Laura – I doubt I'll beat you – b/f was thinking Fall 2005!! By then I’ll be nearly 30, which means I’ll want to start the baby-making right off the bat, so I am pushing for Fall 2004….the we can live together married for a while (not that we haven’t lived together for 2 years already!) I am glad your plan has worked! Maintaining for 2 weeks not counting is awesome! I think I’d gain, esp with the Halloween candy leftovers that my sisters insisted on giving us(as b/f is thin). I think I’ll buy a pkg in the new year – did you buy the 12 week journal? I bought one and I find I am more consistent with it – maybe b/c it’s bigger, I don’t know….?

Deb! Of course we remember you!! Welcome back. I hope this time you stay permanently. Tell us what you’ve been up to when you get off the treadmill!

Jayne (everytime I see your name I sing the Jane song by Barenaked Ladies). PREGNESIA!! Ha ha!! I think my sister has that too! That was very funny…A spa for us all would be AWESOME…..a whole weekend of pampering, etc. I’d love it (but probably get pangs of guilt!) I hope your busy day is OK and you survive – I guess that means we won’t hear from you today…good luck! Oh, and I totally agree with you – it’s awesome to have the positivity (is that a word?) that has been going around lately. I feel way more motivated…

AND I didn’t even eat any of my flexpoints yesterday – I said no to the chips b/f was munching while we watched “Daddy Day Care” (cute movie, if you haven’ seen it).

Well, off I go to get some work done….it’s Remembrance Day here, but I have to work (we don’t get time off for this holiday at my company). I was happy though b/c parking was only $2!! Yay. Happy I drove.

Remember to think of our veterans (and the U.S. veterans) who fought for our freedom back in the day!!

  • the day off that's not a day off ...
Therapy is sooo good! I really look forward to my weekly sessions.
I took today off (Veteran's Day) to spend the day w/ Jeremy.
He's doing well. In the 1st grade now, lost his first tooth recently, and is eagerly awaiting the holidays. I just signed him up for 1 year of karate lessons which I think was the best investment.

I've been busy - work is insane as usual. Still working 2 jobs, with more responsibilities & no pay increase, I'll be starting classes again in January and I'm DATING.

I've been seeing a great guy for about 3 months now.
Things are going well - and I'm very happy.

I ended up doing a quick 20 min on the treadmill, and I'm going to complete my run now because there just doesn't seem to be enough time for me to WASTE! I'm trying to recover from last nights binge. I have severe PMS as my body is still adjusting to the BC I'm on (the patch).
So I'm going to drink more water to detox the CRAP from my system and eat very clean today. I am also going to the 12 Noon WW meeting. I haven't been able to stay for one in about a month and I think that may have something to do with my not being on track. You think?

Jayne - congratulations to you & your family!
Sounds like you're VERY busy yourself - what a long day you have. Pregnesia is an awesome excuse to be able to use ... and after you have the baby it will be postpartum-pregnesia.

Belle - Go ahead and push that boy! That's what we're here for ... I feel like I've missed so much. I bought the new journal and it's too small for me to write in. I bought a Bungee notebook to keep my food journal in.

Laura - I ended up walking for 15 min, running for 5 and I'm gonna walk for 5 now and run for 15.
Then it's off to WW meeting.

If I don't get cracking now - I'll be late ... again. What else is new?
    That's why when I take a day off ... it's never a day off.

    TTYL!

  • Hey Ladies I'm just peaking in DEB WB
I will BB when my brain actually works And I dislodge the highlighter from my hand
    *HUGS*
  • Hi everyone!

I have a day off from the sniper trial ... whoo, hoo! Never appreciated Veterans Day so much before. I'm still working a sniper-related story, just not sitting in court. So I thought I'd come say hi.

So ... DH and I celebrated our one-year anniversary on Sunday. It's hard to believe it's been a whole year. We went to see the Washington Redskins play ... the tickets were my gift to DH. We had a blast. I'm not a huge football fan, but I watch it more since I've been with DH.

We also did a lot of quality baby dancing over the weekend! Maybe this month will be the charm. I sooo want to be pregnant by Christmas. I just wish my darn job didn't keep getting in the way. I'm pretty exhausted most of the time from getting up early every day and driving an hour to the courthouse. And listening to some of the testimony has been draining.

    But enough about me.

Kier: How are those wedding plans going? So who else is trying on rings? Belle? Laura? I highly recommend marriage. It's been such a wonderful year for me. Ooh, I ran an anniversary announcement in the paper Sunday, since I never did one after the wedding. Wanna see? I'm in the upper left hand corner. Don't we look gor-gee-ous?

Well, back to work for me. Oh, and by the way, I haven't followed points in ages, haven't been to a WW meeting since before the hurricane down here and have been eating such crap. I've got to find some veggies.
  • Ok I finally finished reading posts but I don't have time to respond to everyone I am have a heinous day!!

Kim~ Beautiful pic and CONGRATULATIONS. I agree marriage is wonderful. Our 8 month is the 21st, we are right behind you!

Laura~ I will work out with you again in the A.M. which means I have to get my big white bootie to bed tonight Thanks for the company

Kieri~ Glad you are feeling a bit better. Don't you just love making up!

Belle~ Fall is a perfect time of year to get married. I would go for 2004

Deb~ Great to see you back. Glad things are going well.

Jayne~ Yikes, such a busy day. I thought mine was bad!

Well I guess I did end up responding to everyone I had more time than I thought. Dh and I found a house we like and I called on it only to hear that they've accepted an offer contingent upon the city inspection. I kind of hope it goes poorly so that we can offer but then again if it does that means we would have to fix a lot of stuff. I am not sure we could win with this house either way. Oh well back to the drawing board!!

BBL or tommorrow. Angie, Jess where you at girls?
  • Belle - I keep my own little notebook as a journal so I didn't purchase the 12 week journal. I would probably be waiting on the marriage thing if I wanted a church wedding and reception. Those things take time to plan. However, my personal opinion is that since we decided to get married that we ought to walk ourselves down to the courthouse next week. CB however, needs a shinding so we're compromising by saving for a trip to some undecided island. Who knows if the date we picked will work-out.

Deb - you sound so HAPPY! I'm glad you found someone nice to date and that your son is doing so well.

Kierie - Step away from the highlighter. Put away all your books. Go do something fun like turn the stero on loud and dance like crazy!

Kim - Congrats on your anniversary. I loved the announcement. One thing though - what's with the bridal announcements that only show the bride? Didn't the groom have an intregal part of that day?

Becky - thanks for being my work-out buddy. I need a little motivation on these gray cold mronings. It is so much easier to get up and work-out during summer months.

KT - are you out there? How are you?
  • Hey girls!

Once again I'm the last to post - tomorrow I will be on time getting to work - that's my goal. I've been out of it all week.... I also had all my goals for the New Year's Challenge worked out at home - I will post tonight I promise! I tried to post them last night but the power went out, so the computer went down

Becky - I'm here! Keeping my fingers crossed for you on the house-hunt, you'll find the perfect one!

I gotta go again, I'll post better tomorrow!
  • Hey Girls I'm on a brief respite from highlighter land and lol I think I'm high off the fumes
