alaskan Yikes! I hope you start feeling better! I had a pesky ear infection as well; once the ear drum burst, it finally started healing.

Larry; how is weather in FLA? You make me jealous to be biking under the sun

princessgina00
I had a good OP day yesterday! Around 1300 calories and 5.1 mile walk. I do better when I plan ahead.

My muscles were REALLY sore from all that walking. I took Monday off, and resumed yesterday. -- P has been massaging my legs, trying to relieve the lactic acid...and it worked. This morning I woke up with no great muscle pain and dropped 2 pounds! I think my legs were retaining water.

I am hoping to be under 150 on Friday. I can smell the 140's already. Krystal, you are my motivator! P thinks it is wonderful that we have each other. He was happy about your loss

Plan for today
1300 calories
6.8 mile walk

Everyone have a FAB day!

Krystal and SUM Congrats on your losses. You are both rocking this weight loss!!:

I am down another 2 pounds today to 216 lbs

No chance for my bicycle ride this morning. It is raining and they are predicting thunderstorms. I don't believe that it would be smart to be outside on a metal bicycle while the lightning is hitting all around you. Maybe the weather will clear later in the day. The temp is 68 and climbing right now @ 8:30 AM it hit 80 degrees yesterday.

i think im going back to my doctor after work this afternoon...ive been in so much ear pain the last two or three days despite antibiotics...i even took half a vicodin last night just to take the pain away so i could sleep...nothing i've tried besides that seems to help, not flonase, sudafed, claritin, tylenol or advil...i keep hearing that it is supposed to heal and feel better after an eardrum rupture but mine clearly is not and in fact hurts worse now than it has in the whole last month that i've dealt with this...

i did not work out today partly because of the ear pain and also because i had other things going on...had a brief board of directors meeting this morning (i serve on a national early education organization board in town)...and then spent the morning at the hospital...DH's elderly mom was in town overnight and fell this morning in her hotel room, fracturing her upper leg...she was medevaced out to the big city this morning and after that, i just got ready and came to work

my head feels like it's in a big bubble...my ear is so sore that i cant even touch it with my pinky finger and pain is going up to my forehead and down to my throat...whatever is in my ear is not coming out, there is very little discharge...im gonna stick it out at work until 4 p.m. when my intern shows up and then im gonna try one more time to my doctor...if he cant help, then i need to just finish the antibiotics and find the specialist in town

AND the funniest thing happened at the hospital....i was standing by my 18 year old nephew while grandma was in her hospital bed awaiting the medevac (medical evacuation via helicopter) and the doctor came in and introduced himself to me and i said i was her daughter in law and he looked at me and adam and said "so you two are married?" LMAO! the doctor realized he was wrong and said it was just because i look so young LOL!....hey i'll take that!

and last night when grandma and i were at the store, we were talking about my friend H up in the village and she said the oddest thing....she said "H really really likes you and wants to get married"...and i sort of sputtered "to ME?!"...since he is one of my closest friends n all...and then grandma explained not married to ME but married in general

ugh im ALL fuzzy headed from this ear thing...sucksss

Well Hello!!! I am back on plan after a glorious break from all counting, logging and thinking about losing weight in general. I did continue with my daily walks only because my friend counts on me for those, but other than that, I was bad, bad, bad, .
I missed you all and would have checked in earlier this week, but my *&&*$%% computer crashed AGAIN. I was able to restore it, but may be shopping around for a new one because this is getting old.
Today, I went for my hour walk and then ran on the treadmill for another 20 minutes. My run was great, I can really tell I am rested and my glycogen stores must be good and replenished, what a difference!!! Feels good to be back on plan and in control.
Happy New Year!

Hi Everyone! It sounds like there is quite of bit of success going around on this thread. Major congratulations are in order.

K9Owner and Larry You mentioned Miracle Noodles in your posts. What are they and where can I purchase them? Zero calories?? Really??

I am very happy to be back into my regular exercise routine. Four workouts so far this week - 2 Curves, 2 Zumba classes. I will do a Boot Camp on Friday and successfully complete my workouts for the week.

I wish I was as dedicated to staying within my calorie limit. Even though I have protein with every meal I seem to always be hungry and I don't do hunger well. I refuse to give up though. I am beginning to think I just have to learn to feel hungry.

It really helps to come here and see everyone's successes and get support from such a wonderful group of people.

I am down yet another pound today to 215!!

Yesterday was a good day although my sodium was a little high. My DW and I ate both lunch and dinner out. I had the "Island Tilapia Dinner" at Perkins for lunch 420 calories. For dinner we went to a Marine Corps League Spaghetti dinner fund raiser 684 calories and I had two small Mandarin Oranges for an evening snack 80 calories. Total for yesterday 1214 calories and 1805 mg sodium.

It rained most of the day and I did not get my bicycle ride in.
Some days it seems like If it wern't for wrestling with my conscience...I'd get no exercise at all.

Thanks guys, feels good to be back.

Yesterday I ended the day at around 1200 calories, and today was aiming for 1600, but will most likely go over, I am hungry today. I am also really tired this week. My body is noticing the increased exercise and decreased calories.

Speaking of exercise, raining today so it was a treadmill workout, 60 minutes of intervals/jogging, felt great.

I braved the scale this morning and am up to 178, eeek! Oh well, I will lose those suckers again. Don't know if I will change my ticker or not, I usually don't adjust for upwards movement, but this is a pretty swing Christmas Eve morning I weighed 170.2, I was trying so hard that week to break into the 160s and now look where I am. Stupid scale, messing with my head like that. Oh well, [sigh].

It makes me soooo happy to come here and see everyone doing well and working it! You guys are awesome. Congrats for all of your successes with weight loss, getting the workouts in and making good food choices. I am really motivated reading all your successes.

Gotta run, catch ya later . . .

I missed you Jo, nice to have you back! And those few pounds are just bloat, they will come off in a heart beat!

Larry, yay for your weigh loss!

I walked 6.8 miles with hubby and puppy. Somehow I am feeling tired this week. I even took 2 days off. P is a great motivator, he says "push those legs, all I am asking is you to pick each foot and put them down, one at a time" we are supposed to get some snow; I HATE walking in snow. I have truly enjoyed this winter.

Eating is OP, and I am feeling totally satisfied. Why did I gorge all those years? Beats me. Now whilst I am eating "the good stuff", I never get hungry. I guess it helps that I don't do carbs or sugar. No cravings.

Tomorrow is official weigh-in day. I have no high hopes...if I lost 1/2 pound, I am glad....my 150.5 was a fluke

K9Owner and Larry Thanks for the info on the Miracle Noodles. I see how they got their name. I think I will order the variety pack and give them a try.

I saw a minor decrease in the scale this morning which totally confuses me since I have been eating too much, but I'll take it. I hate being a slave to the scale. I like the new Special K commercials that show positive words when you step on the scale instead of showing how much you weight. Maybe I should consider NSVs while I'm trying to get back on track.

Have a great weekend everyone!
