Hi Y'all -

Sore from the zumba exercising yesterday (grrr).

Home sick with sick kid too, doesn't look like I'm going ANYWHERE today - certainly no classes! If I feel better in the evening maybe I'll go for a walk.

You all are doing great - and thanks for the encouragement!

mrsaugie--Every little bit counts!

I went to the gym tonight. I was acting like I lost my mind. Meaning I was acting like Superwoman. Based on what I did tonight I think I will go to the gym twice a week and try to do the rest at home. We will see how that works. So I did 20 minutes on the bike, 10 minutes on the elliptical, and a 60 minute Powerball Class. Overall a very good workout.

Mrsaugie - so you're getting faster and then the mile doesn't count?!

Shay - good for you at the gym. I thought I'd be getting back today into schedule but my kids is still home sick, so there goes that. Yesterday - I didn't do any exercise unless you count walking home from the doctor instead of taking the bus (15 minutes up a hill) but I walked like a snail....

mrsaugi & Miriam Anne - It counts! If you could have not done it at all, but you chose to do it anyway, you should certainly count it.

likenoother - great job on the gym workout. An hour and a half is a long time!

I'm still plugging along with running and the exercise dvds. I still have to take 2-3 second breathers during the strength segments of Jillian's workout, but I'm getting better. My teeny, tiny goal for this week is to be able to get all the way through without breaking at all.

Does walking around the mall for 3 hours count? LOL
No exercise today, but I have my alarm set for 6 to go the the gym before work. I bought new exercise pants today that fit... Should make things more pleasant.... and the black ones are nicer than the ugly grey ones that accentuate my backside-!!

I don't know about the mall...... Buying new exercise clothes was the very first thing I did when I started exercising regularily. It was a great boost! And I really love mine, not sure of the brands or anything, I basically just tried everything at Sears on until I found stuff I liked.

Oh I love my new pants - and I was a SUPER EXERCISER today!

Went to the gym - (even though I had to leave the house at 6:20 to get there because I didn't have a ride like I usually do - so I am already proud of myself that I went because it;s a good 10 minute brisk walk from th bus stop too!!) and I usually have no patience there at all - do some walking in the treadmill and leave. Today - I did 40 minutes on the treadmill (3.5 km) and did ALL the weight machines AND floor exercises! Yea for me!!

welcome mommy23monkeys

I did more exercise - I know I probably won't get any done on Saturday, so I have to try a little harder today/tomorrow. So I did 15 minutes of zumba! Between the gym and the zumba, I'm going to be one sore chickie tomorrow!!

Hey, I may have found my new home!
This is really bad...I work in an exercise facility and have access to equipment and classes pretty much whenever i feel froggy enough to do it, and i still find reasons not to. i haven't even made it on a treadmill all week, and that's usually the EASIEST thing for me to do.
Every night i lay out my sweats and set my alarm clock n hour early and say to myself "tomorrow i am going to get up and walk to the park (it's only a couple of blocks from my house) and jog the walking track" and of course every morning the clock goes off and i promptly reach over and turn off the clock and go back to sleep.
maybe here i can get the kick in the seat i need to do what i plan on doing!
