Hi there all. As you may have guessed, I fell off the wagon late in my challenge with no pauses left.
Am off to Sicily soon so don't think I should start a challenge, though I might.
More later.

Hi all,

Oy, fell off the wagon yet again. I am so frustrated with myself right now... I am near a 4-year high with my weight, and I've NEVER had this much trouble getting back on a program. Seems I have a million excuses and rationalize with myself... one more yogurt won't hurt... oh, going over points for the day isn't that big of a deal... my clothes aren't fitting, I'm getting more & more frustrated with my weight and I can't seem to with the battle with the anti-diet demon in my head. HELP!

Monday I'll start over - I blew today in a big way... trying to salvage what I can. UGH.

Food Plan (stay on plan) (3 pauses)
Exercise 6 days per week (3 pauses)
No eating 2 hours before bed (3 pauses)

I am sorry to hear you are haveing a hard time. It gets to a point with each of us that we finaly have to stop the reasons why we don't stay on plan and find reasons we will stay on plan. I am sure you will get back on track and find those reasons. It isn't always easy. Don't give up.

Red
We all know you can do it. Just pick yourself up and get back on the wagon.

Apple
Exercise dosn't always have to be the sweet buckets kind. Well I sure hope not, I don't sweet that much lol.

Red - it is okay! keep going!

Rdye - try not to beat your self up, just do the best you can. I know for myself, sometimes I think I want to lose to weight but I can't stay on track - it is times like that when I know I am just not ready, there is no point beating yourself, just do the best you can. I spent the last year and a bit half assing it, losing and gaining the same 10 pounds over and over, I figured it was better then gaining 10 pounds over and over! haha - so don't worry about it, do your best and if you slip up dont beat yourself up. I figure working hard 5 days a week and slipping two days a week is better then slipping up for all 7.

Post here daily (1 pauses) - day 7
Stay within calories (3 pauses) - day 7
Drink at least 3L of water daily (1 pause) - day 7
Exercise min 30min 6 days a week (2 pauses) - day 7

No alcohol, Day 14, (2 pauses left)
45 min exercise,Day 11, (1 pause left)
100 crunches, Day 14, (1 pause left)
South Beach Diet, Day 13, (NO pauses allowed)

Rdye, don't despair! I've been feeling the way you are A LOT in the past 6 months or so. But something has finally clicked and I've been able to stick with a diet for 2 weeks now. Even though I'm not getting dramatic results. I have to keep reminding myself to be patient. It's hard. It's really really hard. But something will click and you'll be on your way! Here, maybe this will help! Tee-hee.

Thanks people, for the vote of confidence. You have inspired me to start another challenge, one that can travel.
I am going to record all food eaten and all exercise done.
Today, Tuesday, is Day 1.

No alcohol, Day 15, (2 pauses left)
45 min exercise,Day 12, (1 pause left)
100 crunches, Day 15, (1 pause left)
South Beach Diet, Day 14, (NO pauses allowed)

Hooray, I finished phase 1. I'm kind of unclear as to what phase 2 really is, since I don't have the book. I know I'm still not supposed to eat a lot of carbs, and introduce them slowly, so for the next week I'll add a carb here and there and still avoid sugar & flour. I did lose a little weight, 6 pounds or so. Today was the first day I felt my pants loosen up. Hopefully this will help to keep me going!!

Red, glad you are sticking to it! Sicily! I am jealous. I've always wanted to go to Italy. Have a great time and tell us all about it!

Way to go Rdye!
Hey sotpy! You are through a week! There's no turning back!!!

Day 1 is done.

**************

Apple -- "A little weight?!!?" Six pounds is not a little to me! Go to the South Beach forum and I'm sure you can get all your questions answered. Don't be jealous about my trip. It's turning into a nightmare and may be the reason I lose my job. It's work and I have to write stories so there won't be too much relaxing. It's turning out to be a really bad time to go and yet I can't cancel out now. Wish me luck.

45 min exercise,Day 13, (1 pause left)
100 crunches, Day 16, (1 pause left)
South Beach Diet, Day 15, (NO pauses allowed)

Ughh, I went out for dinner and blew the diet. Had a drink too. It was teeney-weeney, but a drink none the less. I don't post results until the day is over, so right now it's looking good, but that's yesterday. Tomorrow I'll update with the bad news. I feel so stuffed right now. I haven't eaten that much in 2 weeks!!
Extra exercise tonight to compensate!!

Red, I still wish I could go to Sicily. Just to drink wine and flirt with the cute Italian men....

I was in NYC the past 3 days and didn't get a chance to check in. It was a disaster to my diet, but I"m not going to dwell on it. I am just going to get back on the horse and start over. I got in one GREAT work out while I was there and I am leaving for the gym right now, so I am making up for it. I'm going to go this week w/o the 35 flex points (or minimal - if I go over by 1 or 2 one day, that's OK, but not all 35!!) SO...back on the horse! I made some good decisions, but a lot of bad decisions on the trip. It was a work trip and we went on a tour of high-end bakeries, pastry shops, candy stores, etc. And... well... I ate a lot of it. UGH. Oh well, I REFUSE to let it frustrate me and I AM back on the horse!

Food Plan (stay on plan) (3 pauses) - Day 0
Exercise 6 days per week (3 pauses) Day 0
No eating 2 hours before bed (3 pauses) Day 0
